On thing I didn't know was that when the riders change bikes now in the event of rain, the replacement bikes don't just have different tyres, they have different brake discs. The carbon items only work properly at high temperatures which means they don't like to be water cooled. The replacement bikes apparently have steel discs fitted.

Yeah sometimes I have seen them in "shrouds" hmmm not the correct word but covers to reduce the cooling from the wind when racing in colder climates with carbon discs

Awesome pics man, lucky bastard.

You got any other pics of the 2 smokers? 125's especially, would be great to see some closeups of them just to see if I can spot the differences from my bike.

The Honda Riders Club really do try to give you a good Moto GP experience.
This, however, most definitely stops short of stepping inside the pit garages.

I was sitting having afternoon tea in the Honda RC marquee on Saturday and Makoto Tamada came and sat at the next table giving away signed posters and signing programmes.

One lady (who shall remain nameless) handed him her programme to sign. He looked at the photo of Shinya Nakano and without saying anything turned to the right page and signed his own photo. If he thought, "Yeah you all look the same to me too." He didn't say so. :spanking:
