Aaron Slight lived across the road from us when he was growing up, he was friends with my older brother and came over to see me when I was born (when he was about six) .... awww I feel so special!! Ok.. so thats my closest I got to a celebrity, but I love retelling that story! :p

He's done business with us and has never been anything other than a total and genuine human. Great to see in this day and age of over paid moronick false wankstains.

I've interviewed and photographed him a few times and he's a genuinely nice guy - mind you, so were Darryl and Shayne King and Simon Crafar.

Aaron never forgets a face - every time I've seen him in the years since I first met him, he always says hi and asks how work is going.

I was in Wellington Photographic Supplies once and he came in with his wife (also lovely) and said hi. When I got to the counter the guy serving me said "do you know him?" and when I said yes, he said "but he's Aaron Slight!" like mere mortals like me should not be allowed near famous people!

Lovely guy, but then most of the ones who are seriously involved in motorsport at a top level usually are.
