The road safety signs they put up on hwy 38 near Kaingaroa are always a source of amusement. The last one was 'What's around the corner' - in the middle of 10km of dead straight road, one of the longer bits of straight on the island in fact.

The latest effort was just sooo asking for it, in an area where road signs get shot up on a regular basis anyway:

I have no idea where you are talking about, but there is one of these signs just south of National Park full of bullet holes as well.

A few other classics I have seen....

The "I am just an average driver" sign, with painted below it - "on below average roads"

and on one of those signs about taking a break when driving tired, had a couple of red bull cans stacked on top

we have had one of these on the featherston side of the takas for ages now - always makes me chuckle as i head past wondering if i'll be able to do 100 in some places today  more of an incentive to speed (to competitave people anyway) than a reason not to

Saw a similar sign on SH14 from whangas to Dragsville just west of maungatapere with a Tui ad sticker on it
"Its not a target" and underneath someone had stuck "Yeah right"
