Keep an eye on the Meetings forum. You can probably bum a ride with someone going on the organised rides.

Good on you Girl!

If you're ever in Wellington, for sure I'll be able to forward you some names, and I hope the guys up your way do the right thing.

Just check the state of their bikes BEFORE you get on them!

Yeah i dunno mate....this is the same person that posted in the ATNR just before the cops got involved a few weeks back. The name rang a bell and i went looking, cos the post is almost word for word, but Julie said '' no offence but no british bikes''...you may recall that?
Cant find the post anywhere on the ATNR thread (been deleted i think ) but its been quoted by SwanTiger on page 35..post 511.... funny how she now wants to pillion on a fast bike?

Someone prove my wrong and i will eat my bike....(not really)

Hm. It is rather odd actually. I do remember the original post. And now it's gone. And I've looked in PD and I can't find it there either.

Though I see no reason why Ms Julie should not be what she says. And, having had no takers on her first request, now repeats it.

But seriously... If you love that "rush" so much... imagine this... actually being the RIDER is 100 times more of a "rush" than being the pillion... You should look into getting your own bike

Why the assumption that the young lady is associated with the police? She has merely asked if someone would care to give her ride on their pillion (whether there may be unstated romantic overtones is not for me to say). She has not attempted to find details of routes or times, or to encourage any law breaking activity. As a mole or agent provocateur she would be a distinct disappointment to her employers.

Someone surely can offer her a ride?

Its been done before. ZRXer took a young lass that just wanted to pillion on a coro loop (fark she was brave). She had done much the same thing by putting up a post here. ZRXers mother didn't seem to mind much either. If you are serious there Julie, look around through the calender and find a ride thats happening and put yer name up as a pillion.
If all is above board and you are just there for the riding experience then I am sure my missus wouldn't mind that much so if you are around on a KB ride and I'm on it give me a yell and I'll put my rear seat on.
I'm sure ZRXer wouldn't mind either.

Feed the Trolls - someone has to.

As far as the shit talk goes, I'm sure you're old enough, wise enough, mature enough to handle it - whatever your occupation. If you don't ask you don't get and word will get round soon enough if things aren't on the up and up. As I said though if you don't ask... you'll end up sitting at home wishing you had. Hang tough it's bad bad world out (in here) there.

Ok you lot back off Julie.......

I have meet her and two of her kids... she is a very nice and genuine person.
One rider (Sollie) from KB has given her a ride on their bike recently and she loved it.

She is really genuine in having a ride on the back of a bike.....
She isnt wanting to go out on all the rides, as she has 4 kids to look after.

She is going to look at getting her Learner's license...
I have also offered to take her around a few shops to look at bikes...

I reckon a GN250 to start out on.... but first off she needs to go and sit on a few bikes to see what suits her.

She has also seen the mentors list... and will most likely hook up to one when she gets a bike.
I have also offered to show her the ropes.

I have suggested she check out BuckBuck1's thread on learning to ride, as he has some great tips in there.

Julie is not out there to get into any relationship with any KBers.

There maybe a time one of you could offer her a ride.... but on that day she is busy doing things with her kids (one in a wheelchair) but on another occassion she will be able to get her tribe looked after.

I have suggested to her to go into the Meetings and events section and if there is a ride happening that she is free on that day to put her name down.
She is happy to meet at the start up place.

Julie has stated her husband used to do sidecars (swinger).... It was out at Rosebank Rd on the kart track where he had a accident. From that accident he passed away some months later.

Lets stop the crap hitting the fan here....... Julie is a genuine person... who only wants to go on the back of a bike occassionally.

Oh and Julie does have all the riding gear.
