DOCTORS

1. The number of Physicians in the U.S. is 700,000.
2. Accidental deaths caused by Physicians per year are 120,000.
3. Accidental deaths per Physicians is 0.171.

Statistics courtesy of U.S. Dept. of Health Human Services.

Now think about this:

GUNS

1. The number of gun owners in the U.S. is 80,000,000. (Yes, that's
80 million).
2. The number of accidental gun deaths per year, all age groups, is
1,500.
3. The number of accidental deaths per gun owner is .000188.

These statistics are courtesy of FBI......

So, statistically, doctors are approximately 9,000 times more dangerous
than gun owners. Remember, "Guns don't kill people, doctors do."

FACT - NOT EVERYONE HAS A GUN, BUT ALMOST EVERYONE HAS AT LEAST ONE DOCTOR.

Please alert your family and friends to this alarming threat. We must
ban doctors before this gets completely out of hand!!!!!

Out of concern for the public at large, I have withheld the statistics
on Lawyers for fear the shock would cause people to panic and seek
medical attention.

Ok, now run the figured including INTENTIONAL deaths. While doctors may be a bunch of bumbling idiots that dont know your arsehole from your elbow, unless you've been sleeping with their wife they dont often intentionally kill their patients.

From some anti-gun site. (http://www.ichv.org/Statistics.htm)

In 2003 (the most recent year for which data is available), there were 30,136 gun deaths in the U.S:

16,907 suicides (56% of all U.S gun deaths),
11,920 homicides (40% of all U.S gun deaths),
730 unintentional shootings (2% of all U.S gun deaths),
347 from legal intervention and 232 from undetermined intent (2% of all U.S gun deaths combined).

Does that explain why I have shit running out my sleeves?

... and the bullet holes that appeared in my car as I drove past the hospital - I guess I understand now...

No, if you follow the trail far enough up your sleeve, you will find it's actually dribbling down off your chin :niceone:

Given that there are other countries with large numbers of guns per people that don't have high instances of gun related deaths like america maybe people should be trying to ban americans not guns

OK, when you're got cancer - go see a gun dealer.
