Who out there is going on the fund-raising ride to Roxburgh next weekend? Organised by the S.H.8 crew, money goes to the Roxburgh Childrens Health Camp, no tenting, swimming pool and the best of company - (well I'll be there but Chrissy_Bimbo a.k.a. Mrs S.D will be operating the handbrake - not!! :innocent: ) not too far from the wine-growing areas so what more can you say.

For you non-Mainlander types the location is less than two hours from the Brass Monkey site so I guess we ain't going to need sunblock & jandals :msn-wink:

I take it from the lack of replies that (a) Nobody from this site is going to Roxburgh or (b) Nobody fron this site is going to Roxburgh AND is motivated to reply? <_<

Do the organisers REALY know what they have let themselves in for inviting the likes of you, or are they that desperate for people :Pokey: to attend?

Could be worse - YOU might have been going there :2guns:

Anyway, I uphold a very high standard of behaviour and decorum :bleh:

Going by some of the posting you have had on here I suspect that there are some folk that would argue that last statement!!

Never mind CCL, you can be up there with the single malt snobs instead :bleh:

Yeah, you would enjoy yourself at this rally, sleeping in bunks and a roast dinner, plus of course top company!!
Last year was the initial rally and the weather was that bad (ice, snow etc.) that a lot (me included) didn't get there and some had to take 4X4s (not you Kandallah Klatterer types either) to get there but apparently there was still a good turnout and the Health Camp got quite a good donation out of it, keeping fingers crossed the roads are o.k this Saturday :apint:

Sounds fun and I'm a Southern Lass anyway so I know all about the type of hospitality I'd get

Never mind I'm planning a trip down when it's a bit warmer so maybe I can say 'Gidday' then.

Hey, CCL, give us a private message or whatever it's called and let me know when you are coming down and I'll arrange for accomadation etc.

Despit any rumours the hospitality down here is top-knotch and everybody is welcome.

Its on again this year and I've just sent in my entry. Reports from previous years suggest its just too good to miss, so come on all you KBers and make it a weekend for the kids to remember. :2thumbsup

If I get the RE5 back on the road in time it will be a good wee run for it. :ride:

Yep, I'll be there with C.B. again :Punk:

I posted of a message on this thread earlier today but it kinda 'evaporated'? :weird:

Hope the weather unchills a little, well enough that I can take the bike - other years the nervous types have arrived in their cages.

Top rally and the profits go back to the kids health camp.

You can take the bike irrespective of the weather, after all you are only an hour down the road. Mrs J has declined to come so it looks like I'll be solo. Just hope its the RE5 and not the GS. :ride:

The big question is: If you reply to both do you have to be there twice?? :wait:

Either twice, or two bikes at once.

Forecast for the weekend doesn't look TOO bad - no ice/snow!!
And I've got Friday off as well - woo-hoo!!!
Article in todays Southland Times states the money raised from this rally is to go towards buying new BMX bikes for the kids that attend the health camp, good one!

Sorry guys - looks like the little tikes will have to get by without my support this year.
It's going to be a good weekend weatherwise I think so I'm sure that it'll go well.
The Pissed Penguin will be my next rally I think.
I look forward to reading the report.
