Anyone know where I can get some?

They seem pretty rare, but a good investment nonetheless.

Many thanks in advance.

Anyone know anyone who can make some custom ones?

Theres not alot to protect on a Bandit, just the tank and the cam cover I think, but still worth the investment I think.

Where would you attach it to though? the bolt between the frame and the top of the engine?

You're forgetting probably the most important (and expensive) bit: the frame!

I don't know where to get them, been thinking about them myself but haven't got the cash.
There's some pics of crash knobs fitting to a bandit 400 in this thread:

You possibly don't need a set specifically for the bandit 250. I've been investigating these for my Bandit 400. A couple of places do do them, but as you say, they're quite rare. There are alternatives......

Most frame sliders seem to consist of a cylindrical nylon slider that sticks out from the front corner of the frame - one on each side. The slider is held in place by a bolt. This bolt replaces the engine mounting bolt, passing through the slider and into the engine mounting point.

The slider bolt is a bit longer than the engine bolt it replaces, so that it can fit through the slider and into the engine through the frame.

So. Any set of sliders that come with a bolt that has the same thread size as the engine bolt it replaces should fit.

Seeing as how a lot of Suzuki parts are interchangable, probably a LOT of different Suzuki model frame sliders will fit the 250. You just need to do a bit of research on bolt sizes and suchlike before you buy a set, to make sure you've got a set that will fit in the holes.

These, for example, MIGHT do the job.

Wild Hair Accessories do a set for the Bandit 400. I'm probably going to be ordering a set in the next 2-3 months, along with a couple of other bits.

I'll let you know nearer the time. If you want a set, I'll order two. Save you some shipping costs and the hassle of ordering by telephone only from the US.

Unfortunately, they don't give an exact cost. Only 'between US$100 and US$285'.

Maybe give F1 Engineering in Hamilton a call and see if they can help you out. They make sets for a variety of Suzuki models though not one specific for a bandit. The bolt threads could well be the same type as another Suzuki model they do produce crash bungs for.

I have crash bungs from Cam's Components (http://www.camscomponents.com/). Top notch quality and the crash bungs have f'off springs on them.

i dont need any sliders for mine anymore :crybaby:

just so you know - it slid on the handle bar and and exhaust, barely scraped the engine cover.

Did the bar ends do their job?

Need bungs that come out far enough to protect the sides of the tank, as well as the exhaust.

Ive had it a week now and given it some good canings, but yet to drop it, so the only time its gonna get dropped/binned will probably be at enough speed that it would be a write-off.

yeap, the bar end took a fair bit - even bent the handle bar :(

tank had a couple of minor pin head sized chips in it, exhaust bore the brunt of the damage, ill post some pics in my thread sometime soon....ish....

but yea, the best thing i reckon would be a bar that wraps around the engine.
