It's also got repsol in it.

Has to be good. A little less agressive than a street magic.

I've seen the Aprilia, and I like it. A work of art those things "without the problems that beset their competitors". (BIKE)

I wouldn't want to own it though, only 'cause I'm too old to be laying all over a bike. I like comfort these days.

It is an all singin' all dancin' model and you could always sell the GSXR candy bits on Trade Me.

If you would prefer something approaching logic for a reason: somebody else carried the bulk of the depreciation on the Aprilia. It'll still be worth most of what you paid for it after a year. Can't say that for the others...

You've had fifty odd bikes as I recall, you *can* do this.

Have fun whatever

I think the answer lies within, I'd go for the Aprillia out of that list. The k3 was a great bike to ride, the k5 was not, the k6 looks much like the k5 and as the Kawasaki, thats just a green k4:Pokey:

I dunno what it is exactly about the Aprillia, but if I was ever to buy a non Jap bike, it would be one, although it would be a motard...

Though with a decent pipe to battle that KTM bloke..... you dont really need balls out HP on the road which is your territory and since it has the chassis and bits to handle the naki goat tracks, plus your penchant for Ohlins....... Ha ha, funny how 10 out of 10 journos and other testers disagree with you. And the racers.

The k5 and k6 are identical bar the paint. But you are right about the kwaka.

If the decision is that hard Sensei then start playing hard ball with the vendors and see who will suck the most cock/give the biggest discount/best freebies to get the sale.

Any warranty on the Aprilia tho? I like the look of them and they sound pretty good but I still don't think I'd personally choose it over the other 2. Definite second bike material.

So if the journos and testers say somethings shit hot you run along like a good wee lad and promptly purchase what it is they say it is you should be getting???
Funny I had a different way of doing it. I test piloted all the Jap 600cc, the one 750cc and all the 1000cc bikes and made my decision from that alone. I honestly don't give a rats arse what some other plonker says, including some here on kiwibiker. :Pokey:

Way i see if, do you want a twin or not? If so take the aprillia if not

You down to two, and well take which ever one gives you the biggest bone, like you said all your ohlins will be fitted to the which ever of these japanese bikes you buy, so you get something with more power, just as much handling adjustment(after you add your bits), and lower over all cost of ownership.

Yes alot of people have gixxers and zxs and not as many with aprillias. But really boils down to which one gives you the biggest boner, and which bike feels right for you.

Don't be such a dick inline.

I test rode most of them too, except the yamahahas and chose the gixxer for the balance, riding position, looks and power delivery.

I was pointing out that you are about the only person in the world who would choose a K3 over a K6, care to explain exactly why?

I'm more interested in the way the bike feels to ride/handle. I felt far more comfortable on the k3 (however it did by that time have some go fast gear) compared to my ride on the k5, which you said is the same as the k6.
Can I afford one? I guess so, but atm we are saving for a farmlet now and thats more important to me than owning another new bike atm. Power? I only use what I need and thats usually less than what the CBR600RR has on offer due to the quality twisties down these ways.
Sheep? You have quite the fetish for those eh, allways bringing this topic into the discussion. If you actually did some research you'd find that the naki is predominantly dairy farming, but no I'm not worried about being raped.
Oh and you might feel that the previous post was aimed at you, sorry it was not. Didn't mean to hit the raw nerve that it would appear that I have... :baby:

Well, I would have to do vigorous testing to give an informed decision, but going from a wankable knowledge and icandy, i rank:
First : 06 GSXR1000
Second : 03 RSVR Aprilia
Third : 04 ZX10R

Then again, anything bigger than a 600 is too much for me, and I don't like green on a bike.

I didn't feel your comment was particularly aimed at me, no.

Sheep, of course, I'm from the Shetland Islands for fucks sake. However in my time in NZ I have seen more than one documented prosecution for bestiality in the naki. No where else.

If you really feel that the K5/6 feels bad to ride and handles poorly then you must have some real odd weight distribution on that lard arse of yours.

I bought my first K5 before any of the magazine reviews were released based on a test ride that I never asked for. Some smart cunt salesman saw me coming.

That would explain why your online a fair bit dover, busy looking for documented beastiality on the internet? I never said anything about handling poorly, I said I like the way the k3 handled more than the k5, its a personal preference. A concept alot of gixxer riders fail to understand. Personal preferance also helped me to the purchase of not only a 600cc instead of a thou, but also a Honda! It would be a boring world if we all thought along the same lines eh.

Id pick the Honda first, and if those were allready sold then i guess the gsxr would be second choice because i hear they are producing loads of horsepower, next choice the zx10 and lastly the aprilla, because i fear the price of parts and avaliablity, but i have no idea. who gives a fuck about residual value? nobody rides to save money and paying top dollar for an old wop-mobile with no warranty and high maintenance costs isn't exactly smart money.

just another slant to it:
I would not use tha same parameters for choosing a bike like many here do because I all 3 bikes are gonna give a great ride anyway.

So my criteria would now be more like: Which workshop gives me the best and friendliest suport.
Or after at least 1hour riding on each bike, which one is the one I feel most comfy with. etc.
best of luck.:2thumbsup
