Zapf came down on the Awakino sheep feast ride and then did a lap around the mountain and went home on the same day as I recall.
Nobody can say he ain't a motorcyclist...

I waved to him on saturday just norf of upper hutt.
Then he came to my house... think we got things in the wrong order... but when the road calls for a ride...
He does get around a bit, must be a bit of a bike tart ;-) better watch out for this one...
especially on the 13th october in Turangi!

Yep, stayed with us a couple of nights so he could attend the Wgtn KB ride. Top marks for riding down for that (and GIJOE)
He has great taste in motorbikes for sure :2thumbsup
Hope the trip home is not too wet.

never thought there will be a thread about me... and least its not about being naughty :) thanks all!
Yea, good to meet u SunHuntin... I was going thru your town and looking for a Petrol station to stop on the way, and so it looks like its getting to the end of town without a station. And walla... a BP... pulls in. Then then friendly person ask me if I was anything to do with KB...
Always good meeting people that way...
eMan found me the exact same way in Rotavagus as well... :)
Yea got home safe, enjoyed the wet ride back actually... roads where wet but clean. had fun with a few small controlled drifts on SH3... :buggerd:
dead tired today!

Hope to see a trip report shortly Fex.
You have to let us know what you thought of welly's local roads as I neglected to ask you about them on Sunday.

Come on.... just cause I have had a few more Hondas than you
yes Skelstar, there is a report fermenting at the moment :) re the local roads, I didn't enjoy the stright bits too much as not being much of a speed junky. But I really like the rolling hills after lunch, they were the highlights of the day. Plus the dryish ride back over the taka's.
And just to add.... Shaun in New Plymouth did a GREAT job with my suspension, it rides even better now than ever.

Crikey! World Famous in NZ is our Zapf! Yes, we both had fun wending our own separate ways down to the Welly Rally.
And as for Colapop missing out on my gadgets..this is what I had on my persons...
Panasonic Cybershot Digital
Nokia Celly (same as Zapfs  we have the same taste in gadgets)
Swiss Army Officers (the big fat kahuna)
Swiss Army Normal (the more practical one!)
Mutli-function bike tool (hex set/screwdrivers/etc etc etc)
Digital Pressure Guage
LED multi-function display (ooh look at the pretty flashing lights!)
Bike lock
Cable reminder for Bike Lock
Puncture repair kit with those cool C02 bottles
Personal binocs with night enhanced function (some sorta coating which is meant to help with night sight. I think its bollocks)
Solar recharged LED light (McJim's got one!)
First Aid kit
iPod
And other assorted misc.
I'm kinda glad Zapf distracted Colapop! I woulda never gotten all those things back into my pockets! And the iPod woulda probably be drained of all its juice! And the C02 bottles woulda probably be used up by Colapop using them to lift up the skirts of passing ladies!
Ah well, when Colapop does his NI tour - I'll have to hide them again!

I'll have to frisk you next time. You're just a big tease, but I'll ferret them out... from whatever crevices you've got them hidden in!
p.s. I don't need CO2 to lift skirts - I use my hands.

That scares me. A lot. Daddy, please don't let that bad man come near me? :Pokey: I think I'll have something to distract you with and then run out of sight (maybe a GPS pointing in Zapf's direction? :chase:)
