View Full Version : We weren't chasing them. No no no no no way.

A stolen Merc crashed into a Rav4 near Warkworth today. Police say their patrol car saw the vehicle just before and U turned to follow it, shortly after it overtook a line of vehicles and hit an oncoming car. Witnesses said they heard sirens at the time of the crash.
For God's sake, why don't the cop supervisors grow some balls and say "yes, we were in pursuit of a stolen car".
The fact that they were chasing a car that crashed pales into insignificance compared to thinking the public is as stupid as they are.
The one saving grace is that the 2 dead were scumbags in the Merc.

sorry lou, but 1st action of a stolen car driver when they see a patrol car stop on the other side of the road, is to run. the cops may or may not have been in pursuit.

Yeah I picked up on that too. The cops weren't in pursuit, they just had their siren on. It was an excellent outcome that 2 scumbags died. Pity the driver didn't die a slow and painful death. Unfortunately 2 innocent people were hurt too.

I watched that 10-7 program tonight........ Three homies from Mangere get 2 months prison for breaking into some cars... Next up is two pissed $unts, the driver loses control of the car on a city corner. It spins around and goes rearend first into a woman in the other lane who is carted off with neck injuries.... The passenger doesn't give a shit, the uninjured driver gets 80 hours community service (like he will turn up) and disqualified for 12 months.
Where is the justice in that.
The $unt in the Merc will no doubt get a free lawyer,a payout from ACC if he lives..at worse he will have to pay 50 cents a week reparation for a few months.

It was on the late news and from the comments made by witnesses etc, the lowlife pricks who'd stolen the Merc passed a cop several Kms back down the road heading the opposite direction. The cop had been alerted to the stolen Merc and turned to follow and turned up at the accident scene a couple of minutes after the accident had happened with the sirens going, most likely because the 1st vehicle on the scene was a stock truck who had been passed by the stolen car.
A resident close to the accident scene said they'd been getting kids ready to go somewhere when they heard the smash, went to investigate, saw the truck stopping, then saw the accident a few hundred meters up from their gate. Then heard the cop car & sirens and saw it go past to the accident site.
The driver of the stolen car (injurys) & the driver of the other vehicle (serious injurys) were air-lifted to hospital. It was the passengers in the vehicles who died.
Innocent victims come off 2nd best from assholes doing asshole things and the finger gets pointed at the law, Ha yeah what a joke! fucking wouldn't happen if in the 1st instance the assholes who caused the whole lot lead a normal life instead of being the lowlife scum they are.

The old boys in blue can't win. If someone steals a car, and the cops give chase, and the car crashes, and kills or injures the occupants, the cops get media raped. If someone steals a car now, they have to chase them, without looking like they're chasing them or they get media raped.
The next one will be that someone steals a car, and drives to a house, and kills 3 innocent people, and the media will say "why weren't the cops pursuing this individual?".
Bah, if I was in charge of them, I would chase the lowlife theives in the hope that they crashed and burned, and saved our taxpayers some serious coin in the process. Hard line approach, but that's me.

I think I should add that I have no problem with cops chasing crooks, its why we employ them, but it is a little too conveinient that ever single time there is a cop behind a car and the car crashes there either was never a pursuit or the pursuit had just been called off.
If they were chasing them man up and admit it, but we know from certain members on this site that what comms hears from the scene might not reflect whats actually happening......

Most of them aren't tough guys they're piss takers - big difference, a lot of it's tongue in cheek. There's a lot of support for the Police, myself included, when they are dealing with violent criminals, thieves etc.
Disappointed they took the driver of the stolen car back by helicopter - should have dragged him back to Auckland behind a car and charged whatever was left of him.

Well I was working yesterday and have a first hand account of the above mentioned incident. Speaking to police at the scene I can tell you that the media have a few facts wrong, so dont go off what the tele or the paper or the woman down the road or the dairy owner tell you.
So obviously I cannot say anything about the whole deal, but there is one clue as to weather it was a pursuit or not, which is public knowledge if you look hard enough. The Police Eagle was first on scene..... Now I wonder why that was.
(lift off from mechanics and be at the Dome valley in 35 seconds??)
On another completly unrelated topic, I say good on the cops for pursuing crims, thats what they are there for.
Just because the eagle was airborne doesnt mean it was a pursuit at the time of the crash , it may well have been called to search for the merc and quite possibly have arrived soon after the crash....either way who fucking cares I`d rather they stoppped the crims b4 they had the chance to commit crimes.

Returning home from Hamilton yesterday I was undertaken by a prick driving half on the shoulder/ half on the grass to the left of the inside lane of the motorway just coming up to the Bombay off-ramp, I watched him coming up in the rear view mirror, and he was in one hell hurry!......He went off at Bombay, so did I. He parked his car and strolled over to the Golden Arches and sat down at a table with 3 guys......before I had even been able to light a ciggie (shaking hands and all) there was a HP car parked accross the back of his car, and 2 unmarked Mazda 6's in the carpark...this guy did a runner into Mac Donalds, out the service doors and into the bush, then we got Eagle and a dog car...this happened in the space of a few minutes.....
The cop I gave my details to said he was facing "several" dangerous driving charges as a result of being chased up the motorway....I mean this guy had collected a road cone, it was wedged up inside the rear drivers wheel arch...
He scared the crap out of me, and several other drivers that also pulled in to complain.......but he was being pursued, and he was running.........and there by the grace of God go I......sigh.........

This is true. On a personal note, I intend to be a multi-millionare by the time I'm 25, at which time I am going to make a point of sending out fliers through the mail to all predominately WHITE people making fun of their misfortune, living in $600,000 leaking homes and working for other people, like ME. I just hope I don't call my mum or one of my aunties or uncles by accident :buggerd:

This is true. But we didn't look young, my brother was about 23 or 24 at the time and in a suite, I was still in my work uniform which for that day was a dark navy polo shirt embroided with black dress pants and glasses!
Still, I found it ammusing and the cop was pretty cool once we were verified.

You just wait yah cheeky coon, I was 10% of the way there when I was 16 then *insert girlfriend here* and it equals back to 0% but feel the love  :wari:
WINJA, I think you might be a better presenter, you have a nice placid personality.

This is true. On a personal note, I intend to be a multi-millionare by the time I'm 25, at which time I am going to make a point of sending out fliers through the mail to all predominately WHITE people making fun of their misfortune, living in $600,000 leaking homes and working for other people, like ME. I'll also spend 30 minutes a day making random phone calls to WHITE people from outside their house making fun of their cars and houses. I just hope I don't call my mum or one of my aunties or uncles by accident :buggerd:
I'm also going to setup a television programme about all the white collar crime.
Got to love the hypocracsy there. You dont like being ragged on so you will do it to others when you win lotto, brave.
White, why does this have to be about race, I mean there is lots of Yellow and Brown crime in business.....

I'm taking the piss you one eyed pirate! Half my family are "white" !!
I wasn't taking the piss about the millionare thing though, and I've never brought a lotto ticket for myself (I have for other people) and probably never will. $5 for a lotto ticket = $1.70 chips and a spring roll or a piece of hoki fish plus spare change for a can of coke.
Besides that, I'm confident that if I took that $5 and brought shares (or realistically, "A" share) then in two years that $5 could be approximately $47.03. Now, if I took that $47.03 and invested it in a commodity such as (precious metals) silver when its on its down cycle (based on historial charts since the 1970's mega run where a few millionares were made...) of around 6.80 - 7.00 then in a years time I could make a potential $20.10 by waiting for the July - September run where it will occasionally peak by an additional $2.00, sell out the $47.03 invested and net a return of $20.10 making a total of $67.13, or I could get really lucky and it jumps to $12 or some shit.
Anyway, in three years from $5 and fucking around we now have $67.13 ... So approximately 13 times more money than what we started with. Now if you assume $5 a week for 52 weeks, which is $260 a year in lotto tickets, if that $260 is invested with the above method while another $260 in lotto tickets is saved over the year, in another three years ... that's a lot of money. Somewhere between $10,000 and $20,000 in 5 - 6 years.
Enough for a deposit on a home or a new bike.
Again, anyway, none of this accomodates the losses that are bound to be incured nor the fees from brokers, etc. Not to mention I don't think anyone would take a $5 investment. Anyway...

Nice theory so how much you got invested as multi million /13 is still
153846.15
Which is a bit of coin.

Everything is just a theory! you can prove it or you can disprove it, the only difference is your perspective.

And predicting the future too Swanny. Back in 97, I invested a decent chunk of money in a US technology company via shares. When I bought them, they were trading at $2.60. At their peak they reached $65.80. Enough to retire 20 times over. Short story, I went on holiday, market dived, couldn't sell until it got down to $6. Back to work. Lifes a bitch.
It's good that you think like this at your age Swanny.
