i think the best you can do is insure your track bike for transit to and from the track in case it falls off the trailer/van etc. protecta is most likely to do some sort of track day insurance out of anyone. could be wrong tho...

Is that how you claim ACC? Sprain you ankle walking home from the pub, limp to work, then pretend to fall over a staple?

Nah not really, I reckon it should be thoughYou're probably right.
I've got a Ducati keyring that I bought 10 years ago from Casbolt Honda. Does that count for anything?

Anyway, probably doesn't count, because the Ducati keytag is only in the pocket of my jacket, and doesn't have bike or car keys attached to it.
The FahrtSturm has a Mickey Mouse key ring. I'm not sure if that's significant or not.:confused2

OK. That pisses me off.
If you take the risk of using your road bike on a track without first arranging insurance, then it's up to you to repair it if you crash it. Why should I have to pay with higher premiums because other riders choose to do the dodgy as you've suggested?
Some companies will cover you for approved training days on the track, but I don't know about just plain old track days though.

Doesnt sound like it is possible to get such Insurance, Im not taking my Ducati on the track unless its insured, Im having a run of BAD LUCK lately :Pokey: and I dont want to tempt any more coming my way.

Its your choice ultimately but the track is safer than the road. I don't mean that just in terms of bodily injury after binning but I am also saying that the chance of having an off is far less because of the nice run off areas on the track. If you do choose to go on the track, you'll most probably have a ball and you'll find out that there will only be a real risk of binning it if you choose to push your limits far beyond what you are comfertable with. Most road riders do end up having a good time by going around at their own pace.

LOL
You should be considering your bikes life after you've gone you selfish prick. Who is going to look after the poor bike when you are gone - its got bills to pay too you know, it already may have to deal with a huge personal grievance & now you are expecting it to fend for itself as well!! Who's going to pay the mortgage on the nice warm garage it gets to live in, who's going to pay for its new shoes (tyres), fuel, registration, schooling etc. You have to leave it something.......shes boootiful.
(the above comments are in jest and when I mention 'after you've gone) I mean when you are an old man who has seen more bike riding than he cares to remember - by then of course we will be talking about a 2060 model year Ducati with 1500 horsepower with cacoon type air bags that we can hit things at pace & not worry)

Good call, I will have to write her inot my will.
I just had an email from Donna at Kiwibiker, she said only star will insure for track days, but only if it was run or supervised by the "police" yeah like they would do that!! :2guns:

On "Top Gear" the other night, Clarkson graphed the horspower trend for sportscars and by 2020 (IIRC), it was going to be 1,000,000,000 hp, so bikes should easily be at least up to a million or so by 2060. And running on water (fossil fuels will be all used up).
