I thought I'd copy this to it's own thread to make more people aware of this service:

OMFG!!!!

LTSA are working in the 21st century & you can now re-licence your vehicle on line (with a credit card) and they'll post out the wee licence label! And you can change your address too.

I paid for my Bike rego on the 24th of June and it arrived in yesterday's mail (28th June - and that's with a weekend in there too)!

My verdict? Easy Peasy!! :2thumbsup If you've got a credit card, this is the way to sort out your rego. :)

I've just checked the BNZ list of payees - nothing for LTSA or Land Transport at all. I doubt it can be done, unfortunately.

And they're not setup on E-Bill either.

If you just want to use your standard bank account to pay them, then you can do it at the Post Office with your EFTPoS card.

It's just always pissed me off that I can buy stamps at the P.O. with my credit card, but not my rego because it's not a P.O. product - they're just the agent. Nice to finally have an alternative.

Sweet, just did it for me. Now I won't be riding round unregistered for a few weeks.

Did my change of address yesterday, after the writeup on computer worlds website (http://computerworld.co.nz/news.nsf/UNID/3CA6264D00AF51F9CC256EBD006E8C1D?OpenDocument) . They mention that they would only accept CC payments

They don't yet do putting on hold which is why I first went there for my spare bike. It's good to see the LTSA moving with the times :2thumbsup:

Can't wait until we can do this (http://www.usatoday.com/tech/news/2003-12-05-traffic-stop_x.htm).

I just relicensed the XJR on line. Easy!
But I'm intrigued as to why the application form posted to me a week or so ago made no mention of this facility, nor have I seen any advertisement or publicity. How did you find out about it, Slim?

In response to this thread (http://www.kiwibiker.co.nz/forums/showthread.php?t=3477) where someone was asking what the breakdown of the Rego costs were. I went surfing all over the LTSA site & found the link for paying on line & posted it on the 17th June, which the article on Computerworld says is the day it went live. Spooky!

OMG, that is awesome. Wonder what the officer said when it came up that it was registered.

I'd rather take 5 minutes and goto the AA and pay, then I can have my little piece of rubbish then and there.
