WTD: Cheap dirtbike

hey guys and gals,

new to the forum,

looking for a cheap dirt bike in or as close to the welly area as possible, would prefer a going one, but something with minor mods etc isnt a problem,

prefer a 125cc or higher, but beggers cant be choosers.

at the moment im looking at a DR250, but have to wait until november to get it, otherwise looking at getting something like a 250klx or possibly a cr125

strokers are cheap at the mo...due to the 4stroke boom....
CR250 should be a good bet...Or the ever faithfull KDX 200?
4-5k should get you a cheap ok model.

cheap as possible, looking at around the 500 - 1000 mark, dont want anything too flash, just going to get banged up anyway.

Yea I have an 88 Cr125 and it is the best fun I have had in a very long time. An old 2 stroke with an oversize kit will keep up with most modern bikes.

give mark at dave andersons in marsterton a call 06 370 0033....they usually have some cheapies lying around....and tell him cowpoos gave ya the tip off..
