Gold to Red....and it still looks shit...whatta you think

Had issues with clutch cover leaking,before there were just screws through the lexan into clutch cover...a bloke in the states came up with this idea..it turned up Gold coloured..anodized..but looked horrible so i primered and painted it red..looks worse in the photos but a couple of mates reckon it looks good..me i just cant get used to it and reckon it would look better black..what do you reckon ?

I think the suggestion to do a dress ring for that cover came from someone here :whistle: I even took pics and measured up the PCD on my own cover and sent them over... had offered the info to Rifleman first but he was not interested.

red works nicely because it is a highlight in the emblem - you need to extend the theme further (red highlights) to make it work entirely.

I like the RED fits in with the decals as well...but you need red spoked magnesium wheels to balance the whole picture off!!!!!!

LOL...I drinking an average LBlack about 3m away from that bike.

Like HDC said: black with red 'highlights' is better. Red shock, red plug leads...red clutch cover. Only works on black bike though...like the Z1000.

I'd either polish the red bit and leave the rest black or black the lot.

I you never change you oil the cover will become black as well ..........:lol:

You could paint the cover black, but it would look way better to leave it red and paint the bike gloss black! Now that would look the biz.... :)
