I'm picking my bike up this afternoon... So very excited to be back on two wheels... got funny looks this morning on the bus carrying my helmet/jacket/gloves/boots etc...

A little annoyed about my brand new Shark Helmet... its been sitting at home, in a helmet bag, with all the visor protection stickers on it, out of the sun for the last 2 months or so...

Last night went to take the stickers off for its first use today... and the inside of the visor is all sticky and peeling... :( Spoke to bike shop and they will replace the visor for free... apparantly its a common thing *shrugs*

Anyway... yay! I'm riding home tonight... 10 months off a bike...

I crashed it lol... and because of a number of reasons (money... relationship issues... new job etc) its taken me forever to get it fixed :)

So now... 10 months later.... its fixed :banana:

Thanks :) I will be riding like a nana... it has new brake disc's and pads... so I'll be taking it easy...

Leaving work at 3.30pm should be on my way home by 4pm, so I miss all the traffic :)

Yeah I think visor peeling on those shark helmets are one of the common things, must have had a bad batch or something. When I got mine, it started peeling the next day, well, they replaced it straight away and havent had any troubles since

the inside of the visor looks like a layer is peeling off or bubbling... making it look misted...

At first I thought it was just dirt cause its been sitting for 2 months or so... and I tried to clean it... and it did nothing but make it worse...

Called up Mt Eden Motorcycles where I brought it from... told them I have the reciept and want it checked out... and they said they knew what I was talking about as it is common (apparantly). They will replace the visor for free under warrantee

I don't think I'll be able to make the ride this weekend... Seeing my gran on Saturday (visit her every second Saturday at the old age home), then on sat night meeting up with some mates for drinks... and then on Sunday meeting other mates to discuss "what to wear to the civil union"...

Is there one next weekend *can clear my diary if I know in advance*

Like I said... I've organised it so I'm not riding in rush hour, and I'll be riding like a nana :) My nana would be proud lol

Yay... So I picked my bike up yesterday, went for a cruise up to Mt Eden Cycles to get my new visor... then headed home...

It was awesome... I had an ear to ear grin on my dial from the minute I started her up until I went to bed last night :)

She's really dirty and needs a massive clean (roll on Sunday :))

Looks a little rangi right now, but I'll be working on it... Got until Dec to get her sorted before I look at selling her
