I'm doing an overseas licence conversion. Just need to pass the full licence practical test, but I need a bike to do it on.
I tried Tokoroa Motorcycles and Craig Stevens, but neither of them can lend me a bike.
willing to sort out my own insurance and give the owner some sort of payment.
Or if anyone knows of an option in Rotorua/Tauranga/Hamilton/Taupo that would be cool too
thanks a lot,

Sorry - don't think they'll wear a Blackbird  Welcome anyway and if there's anything else short of a 250 I can do for you, just ask.

Which country are you converting it from?

South Korea. I had a full licence over there, so I needed to do the theory test here, which I have done. Now I need to do the full licence practical test.
Not worth me buying a 250 I thought, but it might come down to that yet!

Well if you need to borrow any riding gear, just PM me. I also live in Tokoroa so you can always try jackets, helmets etc for fit if you're not kitted up already.

Are you sure you need a 250? My friend was converting an Indian license and he was allowed to sit on an 800...

really, he didn't need a 250? I'm not sure how that would work out, but I'll look into it. It would solve the whole problem for sure.
Thanks for your kind offer blackbird, I may just take you up on it. I've got a good helmet and gloves, and some ok pants though

I emailed LTNZ about this, and they told me that as the girlfriend can ride a bike to 33bhp on her full uk licence, she can do this in NZ for a year with the same conditions, and take her full test on the same bike. No need to go back to 250, you just have to do the same test.
It should be based on what you can ride on your original licence.

Mate - You don't need a 250 to sit your test on cause you actually have a full license. I did mine on a 400.
