As usual - family obligations invade the weekend. I need to be home at 2:00pm latest to fulfil commitments.

Would this be okay with you if I come along but if time marches on I will turn tail and skedaddle home?

Cheers.

No problem.. Most of it will be what you learnt on RRRS anyway, just a chance to apply the techniques in the "real world" :2thumbsup

m1cro what if anything are you charging for this .

The way I understand it, if it is for "reward", then I would need to be a certified instructor... (even though I have my testing certificate from a previous occupation)... so the answer is nothing..

Given the number of people coming along M1CRO would be too drunk to ride home if everyone bought him a beer!

Hellraiser - be good to see you again - I promise I'll only take photos of you when you're on the correct side of the white lines!

Looking forward to it.

Sorry people, parts have arrived, but unfortunately it will still take a few days to get the engine back into the bike - Early next week is the target so I may schedule something in straight after work for those people that can attend (considering its daylight saving). Will post another calendar event soon

Since I have behaved this week and have "earned" permission to be out on the bike between 10:00am and 2:00pm I'll be at the meeting point anyway at 10:30 so if anyone else fancies a short ride (might do Dover's goat track) feel free to join me.
(edit) Disclaimer - Remember - I am a noob so the only stuff you could possibly learn from me is how not to do it! I am making no attempt to offer any kind of tuition whatsoever. This is merely the offer of some cameraderie on the road for a morning.

The BP on Te Irirangi is the one at Botany Junction right?...innit?

not to be confused with BP Botany on Chapel Road.

I managed to squeeze some practice in along Ardmore Quarry road and Twilight road this morning while the weather was still favourable.

Summer will soon be here M1CRO - your 'Busa is complete - the 1:1 time will happen before too long.

I'm definately improving at the stuff I learned on RRRS but I'm humble enough to realise I've still got a long way to go. Looking forward to the opportunity to learn more from you.

All the best.

cool another one:) i hate riding in the rain, um wouldnt mind learning how to do that wheelie;) i made the bike go up a lil at the lights when i dragged the cages down harris road but it was something unexpected, cause i heard this zxr250 revving on my left and he took off down smales road , so i thought cool ill rev my bike too then i dropped the clutch and the bike lifted up abit.

Seems as if the weather is against us all at the moment. I dont mind getting "wet", but not very comfortable for some :innocent:

Can't wait for Taupo... Is a great confidence booster and I really need to refine my technique, so will be concentrating on that... Do you think your better half will be up to RRRS on the 19th November?

Make sure you book in for RRRS on the 19th November.. PM CaN and he can send you the forms or you can download em from their website (http://www.rrrs.org.nz). Is a great course where you can learn stuff under controlled conditions (well, havent quite the weather sorted, but there are other things we can do)

Mrs McJim doesn't go out on the bike as often as I'd like her to - I keep trying to persuade her to take a spin but she lacks the confidence to "fly solo" and since family is between 2,000 and 17,000 kms away one of us has to stay home at all times to look after the kiddies. Maverick comes round sometimes and keeps an eye on the Mrs as she rides round the block or to Lloyd Elsmore park.

I still don't think she has the confidence to ride to Whenuapai yet nor will have on 19th November. you can speak to her at Taupo - she's coming too but not on the track.
