Nice, while I don't know what they are worth a couple of members here (namely Stanko and imdying) could probably give you some idea.

I'm sorry to pop your bubble but with shagged motors, they aren't worth much... Not withstanding they are in 5/6 out of 10 condition...
What's the bore on them? Are they both still standard? That may be a saving grace.
Good luck.
And I'm not being a smart arse, just sold one for next to nothing due to a sad motor....

Pics?
What are the discs like? Any idea if the bores are std? How many kms? Plates alive? You're in Chch right?
They were a pretty pricey to rebuild a few years ago when you could still get every bit from Yamaha, I'm guessing they haven't got any cheaper :/ Still, depends what the rest of them is like; no cracks in the bodywork? Everything there?

Why not just say how much you want, instead of this arse about face auction. Plenty of people say they would kill for a RZ500 well now is their chance !. ll give you a grand for the pick of them (just one bike). There is probably 3k to spend to get it nice. PM me if you are interested

disc look good , think they are std bore ,dont no really , 20k on one 25k on other , plates are dead , Yes in chch
both are worth rebuilding but will cost $$$ i recon 3G each to make mint.
just checking if there anybody out there thats keen, some people get all fizzed up on the old RZ's (not me Id rather have a 1985 GSXR750 slabside to restore) but they will get pushed into the corner of the shead again, if no one keen on them both

Ok, I'll give a grand for one and stanko will give you a grand for the other. Haven't got the coin to rebuild it right now, but at least I could look at it...

Rebuilding a RG500 is around $6k, including both cranks - with increasing parts and labour costs it might be more these days. I doubt a RZ500 would be any cheaper.
I wish I had money - round out the collection nicely..
