Hi there..
Am looking to obtain a leather jacket/pants/boots/gloves & decent helmet to fit my 10 1/2 year old son.. who loves going out riding with his mum!!
He's 137 cms tall (4 1/2ft) & weighs 35kg.. with no extra padding! Head circumference.. 54cms. Foot length 22cms.
Does anyone have any gear in decent nick.. stashed away in the back of a wardrobe that hasn't seen the light of day in a while.. that could go to a good home.. & is cheap..??? (I am a solo parent/Polytech student) It shits me taking him out wearing jeans & his good padded jacket.. hence he doesn't go out very much!
Any replies would be very much appreciated!!!
Thanks heaps. Jen :ride:

Helmets will be no problem. 54cm is merely a small (Size S) helmet for most manufacturers. Buy the one that fits best. Don't get a second hand helmet off someone. Please. Make sure it fits. If it doesn't it will merely transfer the force of the impact to his head, which is what the helmet is trying to avoid. All Helmets have to meet the same minimum safety standards to be sold, so don't let salesmen guilt you into a more expensive helmet.
Check out the bike shops for Women's gear, at that size and weight he may find getting a jacket difficult. Draggin make smaller size motorcycle jeans too. They have a kevlar liner in the usual impact points and having tested them I can say they work. You can get impact foam for them too.

He is a small fella eh.
If you got my website and measure him up as per the instructions I will get you a jacket pants combo made for him at a cheap cheap price, I would like to do the excercise for a youngin so you will be doing me a favour, we will make it a two piece suit.
Other than that we have a body armour suit which if worn under a jacket will cover of all the impact points incl back.
pm me if you like
