Just wondering if there is any way to get stainless steel to look like titanium in any way?

Like Mike said, brushed might be the go.

No doubt this is for your MotoGP type tail pipe.
The Titanium on my cans have a semi brushed look.
The thing with Stainless depending on how much heat it see's is the colour, normally blue/gold looking where Ti goes blueish and the weld bands gold...so what you do may change once it heats up.
You might be able to polish the pipe then get creative with the gas torch applying a little heat with the torch held back a distance. The main difference/problem is the higher chromium content in the stainless.

Once you have the Ti look pipe sorted,it will be a Ti spider for the clutch

Its just like the Sig pic again Mike..except for a Black L/H fairing and some rash on the can and midpipe (I bashed it back into something roundish)..The freakin mud had gone up the L/H intake and made it to the airbox

I had enough spares to get it going again.

L/H clip on/clutch lever and clutch switch..Generator cover (bashed in and cracked/magnesium)..shift linkage..new radiator (ouch) (i made a low tech screen,if you want a piece i can mail it down,PM)...... The end of the GSXR fork got ground off but i have some spare lower legs so will strip the forks some other time...It has done a few thousand kms since, next week its going to get the Cape and back in a day.

Kind of following along from R6's thread (Gareth?) ..You change things on your bike, pretty it up a bit or its a new bike etc. There is always the possibility of an accident. It can get to the point where it has a lot more money in it than it is worth but you want to ride it whatever the conditions..A catch 22...Normally not a problem but sometimes things go a little pear shaped...Such is life.

Getting the brushed look is easy as just get heaps of grits from 400-1000 and every time you go up one grit change ur direction of sanding 90 degrees.

yep spot on mate, gonna be using the stock pipe as a starting point, cut off the can, then make up my new MotoGP M1R replica can to mount to the original joining pipe (pic to follow)

What im going for is a look similar to one of this
