mmmMMMMMmmmmm somebody at Honda has had their thinking cap on.

Aluminium frame, 2007 CBR600 engine, stubby (almost R6) exhaust and the styling department actually got out of bed for a change. That sound you hear is thousands of people not buying GSR's.

Styling is too close to a combination of Moto Guzzi Breva, Kawasaki ER6F, and Honda's new CBF models to be called attractive.
However with that engine, and hopefully the supension actually works, they may be on to something. GSR still looks nicer IMO.

Definitely nicer looking than the GSR and FZ6 but that gold paint,...dunno..
Why not Honda Red or Blue like the VTR colours.
Anyway, looks great, they should sell a lot.

under seat exhausts are sooo last year ;)
the stub looks a bit FZ1
and I don't really get the new trend towards these Y shaped head lights
Thank the gods they have replaced the indicators
I'd buy it ;)

Nup.
Or were you offering to give it to me?
I thought (at first) that it looked nice, then as I looked at the other foterz, I changed my mind.
I'll stick with the VFR, thanx.

It looks a lot like the ER6 and the GSR for me. Part of the reason I like the older CBs is that you can do heaps to modify them, these all look like they are put together in a way that if you modified anything to personalise it, you would start really making it look a bit strange (some may know what I'm talking about). Not bad, but I prefer mine.

Not bad. Looks a bit cute just like the GSR600, headlight treatment not that great...but what do I know. Good to see Honda spending some money on one of their best value bikes.

I certainly wouldnt trade my 900 on that 600, and I like the way mine looks.
Baby's new Ohlins shoes will be here soon which is the biggest weakness in the current Hornet.
and I like my headlights round, thank you.

oh, I do like the way the exhaust mimics the 1977 CB400F

I like it - looks really similar to my ER6n, but more street-fighter ish - with 75Kw it can't be far off the 900's pace?

wouldn't touch it with someone else's hand. Those brakes, arrggghh ABS yuck and it ain't the flashest according to SB mag though much better than the BMW version which just shuts the brakes down when slipping is detected.

At this stage we are not aware that there will be a 2007 Hornet for the New Zealand market.
:( Time to start a petition?

I'm pleased to see that the designers are moving away from underseat exhausts, the trend really seemed to be a triumph of style over function, particularly on something that might be used for touring or commuting, and the stub exhaust can look good too.
I like it!

It's pretty darn ugly in the video. Really like the rear end treatment even less after that. The front is a blatant ER6N tribute.

For those who haven't seen one, this is what the '07 Honda Hornet 600 looks like:

Got Wood? I have! And unless you've just dropped out of the sky or come out of a cave hermitage on Mars you'll be well aware of my allegance to Honda (Much to cowpoo's disgust). I like it, looks like it'll be a useful lil weapon on the twisties without the sportsbike sore wrists.
Honda's really starting to do right by us die hards. Next good move is to sell it here.
