Hi, especially to everyone my wife Jo and I met up with when we were here from February to May this year. Well you were right when you all said we would be back, I have taken a job in Wellington and arrived yesterday so if anyone fancies meeting in Wellington for a beer get in touch. Special thanks to Blackbird and Easyrider who are both top blokes who I can’t wait to meet again.

Just to put you in the picture in case you missed my other posts I am a 37 year old professional engineer from N’Ireland have been living in England for the last 12 year, came to NZ for a 3 month holiday and have come back to stay. No wheels at the mo but my Blackbird is being shipped soon, role on summer.
Look forward to meeting as many of you as possible.

All the best

Davey

welcome dude ....

was it cheaper to transport the horse rather than buy another here?
or could you not bear to part wit it? :)

Thanks folks,
Kendog, yep best song every hence the line at the bottom of my posts :2thumbsup

and TA I could not leave it behind as I've had it from new (1999) and looked after it like a child, it would have made much more sense to sell it and buy something here (don't mention to her when see gets here that I said that) but I think being sensible is highly overrated

Well about bloody time Davey and welcome back! So you've left that gorgeous wife of yours behind to do all the packing have you? You'd better buy her something better than a bunch of flowers mate!

I've already had a conversation with KB member Merv about your immeninent arrival as he works for your esteemed employer too. All the KB members will buy you a pint each if you manage to stop that public spokesman of yours, Andy Knackstead, from appearing on TV and pissing everyone off. It wouldn't be so bad if he actually had a sense of humour. Jennie and I look forward to catching up with you both soon. If you need anything (short of my Blackbird:whistle:) just yell out!

Cheers Geoff, can't wait to meet again, can't wait to meet anyone for that matter, I'm all on my own here in Welly at least Jo still has friends around her to help out when needed.

So you mean to say I can't borrow the Bird for a month or two till mine arrives, PAH and I thought you were a friend

Regards

Welcome to (permanent?) New Zealand, all the best in your new job etc.
Wellington is a good place to be with a bike, you can go for a ride "up" there, or take a trip "down" there!
No need to be short of somewhere to go. Enjoy! :ride: Cheers John.

Welcome Davey. Shame ya missed Auckland first time around. Will definately catch you up when you meet up with Blackbird at some stage. Hang in there, the bike won't be long. If your all sorted by Boxing day sing out if your keen to see the road races at Wanganui as a few of us are heading down.

Just bumping this thread a bit by saying it was nice to meet Freebird at lunch today with the usual e-riders road/adventure crew at Rahzoo. That is 4skins, XP@, Recycled, Upshift, msmckeon (that boy lurks but never posts) and myself of course.

Still waiting for the Blackbird but then it was good to hear Freebird has an interest in dirt bikes too having been into MX and trials. So looks like we might have another road bike and adventurer in our midst in Wellington.

So welcome to the clan Freebird.
