As tickets are avaliable as of last friday, just wanted to get an idea of how many people were thinking of going. Or how many people bought their ticket asap like me on friday.
What do we think of the bands?
Tool - all good in my books. Going to enjoy that. All the better if I win the side of stage thing from the Rock.

Shit line up. Not worth travelling to Auckland for the one good band turning up this time.

Still more announcements to be made.....

The announcements will have to be pretty stunning. (Sorry not shitting on the idea, just commenting that this is the weakest line up in years. Nothing has surpassed The Prodigy's performance at the first one for me).

Yeah this is the first time that I have been able to get to something like this out of my own pocket. I would have loved to see prodigy and/or Metalica. I know what your saying though, I am not overly impressed but Tool is good enough for me.

If I didn't have to travel I would probably go every year, but have only made the effort once; when Metallica played. Was a great day, really enjoyed it, but would have to be someone that I really wanted to see for me to go again, unless I was already there. Hope you have fun though!!

I think we all know that I would sell my soul to see a pearl jam concert. Wonder if that will ever happen. Thanks Mrs KD, my brother moved there last year so trying to convince him to come with me.

I'm going to organise an intervention if you don't get this obsession sorted Matt.

Looks like it'll be a crash team with drugs and restraints.

I will be singing all the way to the funny farm,
I will walk with my face blood
I will walk with my hands bound
I will walk with my shadow flag

Matt, Pearl Jam are good, but not that good.

Good enough for mere mortals such as myself.

Now, if Dragonforce or Men Of War were to come, then I'd be going!

I agree it's a crap line out. Thing is with the BDO, two good acts make it worth the price. All else fails neck some party pills and go to the boiler room.
I'm hoping the rapture come. And I would NOT be surpised if a big act like PJ come - there you go Matt, some stroke material for you tonight :)
I'd really love to see the gorillaz headline....... Lets see....

My Flatmate is going up just to see tool. Waste of time IMO. Needs to have some proper bands before I'll even get out of bed

Maybe.... Undecided as yet though.... All depends how things are up here closer to the date.... And who I can manage to drag along with me....

Depends on who you talk to Sniper. Friends of mine flew to Wellington from Auckland just to go to a Bowie concert. If they enjoy the band enough to warrant that kind of effort, good for them. However, staying inside Auckland to see three most excellent bands is definitely worth the day out getting obliterated in the moshpits and by the sun.
