Me. I'm an old fucker and slow with it. Some here think I'm ok. Me? After sixty odd years I have not made up my mind.

Looking forward...............as usual cause, it's better than looking backwards.

Plenty of riders down here, because there's plenty of excellent rides.

Rides most weekends to Akaroa or similar. Also 2 or 3 night rides a week. Not many get posted up as we are a pretty informal bunch, mobile is by far the best method.

Been meaning to tell ya the searun will start moving into the Waimak from now onwards.

I'm usually down between the bridges Friday and Saturday nights. So if any bikers see a grey 4x4 and a fisherman wearing a cowboy hat, (Village Person that I am) giz a hoot.

Rubbish! I went down there and never saw any bikes. Even started a thread about it. South Island riders are sometimes thought to exist, but may just be a rumour

On the Akaroa hill road I came across another biker, but he was Australian.

There were some bikes on the waterfront at Akaroa but they all belonged to North Islanders.

Been meaning to tell ya the searun will start moving into the Waimak from now onwards. We should make a plan this year, before we wait too long and then its too late like last year! :innocent:

However I need to negotiate: no discussing KB and the moderators approach to things :msn-wink: :D anything but that :sunny:

Hey Wenier, there is quite a bunch of KB here and around Chch. Some of the more infamous have not specifically replied here (and Never lend them your bike if there is any chance it could wheelie!!). NOw that spring has sprung etc, there should be a bit more activity on line organising rides. Keep the w/e of Dec9/10 free as it looks like a bunch are heading to Twizel/MtCook (see 32446 )

Cya around.

yeah right! When did you last dust off the cobwebs and come out with us old boy?? :innocent:

Yes there are a few of us in chch... and we ride most weekends, not always posted rides. Will be heading up to the nelson rally in a few weeks and also over to greymouth this weekend to watch the street racing. Check out the rides/events areas for rides...catch ya!

Depends who 'us' is. When I'm home (which is rare these days) I often take a ride up the Greta, Ashley, the hills or Aka with your sort. Although it's tricky balancing the fambly and selfish thang.

Maybe I'm just not cool enough to ride out with you and yours these days.

Maybe I should invest in some tassles?

:dodge:

I'm up for the Nelson thang though. Although I'm probably heading north on the Friday.

"ima comin' down tooo!"

I'll be down next year for study, Canterbury specifically. If I'm really lucky I might even have a sexxxy bike to blat around on, but at this stage I'm not entirely convinced it would be worth it, is the Christchurch winter bike-able in any capacity? (ie. for being a larrikin)

Course it is... it really depends on what sorta bike you ride (for some it makes no difference), how you ride it and how tough you REALLY are ;)

Hey Mate

Good to see you down here. There are a good few guys and gals in CHCH. Watch out for the old guy on the Guzzi, he isnt actually slow.
I dont have the CBR that I had when I met you up in Blen anymore and doesnt look like I'll be riding for a while yet. All the best while you are here.

Absolutely! I clock more km in winter than summer :innocent:
If you're game, at least once a year you'll get to ride around on 10cm deep snow :shit:

There's plenty of parking at Cant Uni for bikes and it's free provided you ALWAYS park in the bike parks - some parks are covered too. If you run a cage, you'll have to buy a parking spot hunting lic for $40 and there aren't enough spots to go around, street parking after 8:45am is hopeless too. Buses do provide good services to Uni.

Yeah rideable all year round. Just gotta watch out for that peagravel the council loves to spread.
Truth is some of us look forward to the winter as it isn't a dusty ride & the mud is so much fun:rockon:

Hey Wenier -another one from here
