All that aside, it's a bloody good game to watch once you get into it. The last half a dozen or so super bowls have been heaps better than the yawns they used to be.

i have played many contact sports and padding or no padding... i can fully appreciate how much damage can be done in american football.

also if i were earning $US10million/year id be wanting to protect my body also!

don't get me wrong, i like AFL, but the buildup for that started about 8am in the morning Aussie time (AFL breakfast buildup) but the game didnt start till the afternoon...

... now thats taking all day! haha
