Well... Despite all the shit thats happened of late... Hating my job... And never having any time to myself anymore... Some good has finally come....
After 4 years of working in the same job... I've finally handed in my resignation... I'd gotten to the point I haven't wanted to go to work for the past few days... And I've erm.. *cough* just stayed home...
Out of the blue I got offered another job today.... I've been to see the guy... And have taken the job on...
So this means no more of those horrible 4am-5am wake ups... No more extremely long days.... And I finally get my weekends back..!!! Will only have to work weekends once in a while.. Which is absolutely great.. And will have more time to spend with my family...
Not exactly spectacular news but I'm really happy bout it..!!!!!!

Thats awesome news! My last job was a 6 day a week effort, and most weeks a 60+ hour week... totally sucked and drains the life out of you!
Congrats on the new job :)

Congratulations, after 25 years effectively in the same job I have started applying for other jobs so I can imagine how you feel:rockon: anyone got a job for a "mature" IT tech who doesn't want to do IT anymore:bye:

A change is as good as a holiday (apparently) Still I think I'd prefer the holiday even though my job is shit right now. Good effort, getting a job by staying home resting - not bad!!

One of those empowering moments in life is telling yer boss to stick his job up his arse..!

God I know what its like... Working 2 jobs.. One was full-time (the one I just gave in...) And I work part-time at the bar... Would be lucky to get a whole day/night off.. Does drain the life out of you.. And when you finally realize just how tired you are its a bit late..!!!

Trying to stick it out with the barwork though.. At least until I get my bar managers sorted.. Gone into food prep/serving customers.. Nothing fantastic.. But I get my enjoyment out of working at the bar... I'm sure I'll enjoy it where I'm going... Thinking of heading back to school next year and doing some more hospitality and tourism courses...
Never been so tired.. To the point I'd wake up to my alarm going off and just feeling like I wanna curl up and cry... Shorter days will do me right I think..:zzzz:

They say that work's not everything, BUT it is a large part of your life. If you aint happy there then it affects your whole being.
Good move Kittie. And congrats.

Good on you. I start a new job next Tuesday after having spent the last couple of months of going to my old job with knot in my stomach each morning wondering what shit was going to get thrown that day. I'm more relieved at leaving the old job rather than excited about starting the new job which pisses me off because I want to be excited about the new one as I've been looking for that sort of job for ages.
