Just being obtuse...I guess whether you were lying down or standing up would have no effect on the fizziness of an open bottle of coke. However if you lay down an open bottle of coke wouldn't it all run out the top? Hey and I've not been smoking or drinking :eek5:

PV=nRT It doesn't matter at what angle the bottle is lying, it will go flat at the same rate.

So what happens if you stand the coke upside down. Or perhaps you could turn it inside out to stop the bubbles from escaping. Now there's an idea...........might just save the ozone. Now who's for a toke, eerr ........uumm ............coke??

Why not just drink it all to solve the problem?
