Been red repped twice in the last coupla days, funny as fukk it is too.
hXc could handle dishing out the ethnic/minority stereotypes but couldn't handle receiving it. He soon ran out of steam and threw all his toys outta the toy box in a right wee tanty. Education is wasted on the young.
K14 took offence to a thread started with the one word title of a motoGP rider. No information was given that could have remotely given away the result of the earlier race (hence no "motoGP spoiler tag") yet apparently it contravened some UN decree on talking about motoGP within some unwritten timeframe. If you can't handle reality don't open your eyes.
I laugh at what transpires on these hallowed pages with little or no comment yet from the above I appear to be a sinner of immense proportions. I am unrepentant, there is no hope of redemption, there is nought left but to save you the trouble of a crucifixion by doing it myself. Er...can someone give me hand with the last nail please.....?

Part of life - you will always see things differently to some. They have the right not to agree... and if they choose to they can hand out a red one to show that disagreement.
Not sure what naming the people is going to achive... but hey thats just me not agreeing with you.

I'd just rather people disagree out in the open, exchange opinions, bitch slap each other as per the new smiley and walk away hopefully a bit more learned for the experience. Over something as minor as these it just seems painfully petty.
I'm big enough to stand by what I've written, I'm intrigued to see if they are too, rather than throwing rocks in the safety of the shadows.

OK, someone posts about this like once a month. Seems more like every 28 days to me, you guys all syncronised your flow or something?
Here's my advice, grow a pair.
If I met you in the street and said your hair was crap and your shirt looks like an Oxfam reject would you cry? Suck it up man.

Some people dont have an interest in that... they dont agree with you, they make that clear... but maybe they dont want to get intio a conversation about it. Nothing wrong with that. Thats why I question your motives on the name and shame approach...
Its part of the internet too. The rep system is there for people to let others know how they feel about things said. You dont get upset in person when someone does not agree with you, so why do it on the net?
Always amazing how people love the green ones, and that is never post about that, but the red ones are a different story... my advice? Dont take things too seriously, its just the internet

Don't see what the problem is mate. Its a system for approving or disapproving peoples posts. No need to have a cry about it. I give out both quite regularly and duely recieve it too. I don't really care what other people think when i give it out, its my perogative to do so. 99% of people are cool with it, then we get the other 1% (you) who go crying to their mummies when they get it.

I watched that thread, it was highly amusing. But he's only 15, maybe he'll grow up in a few years and develop independent thinking capabilites instead of parroting what his friends and family are saying. Or maybe he'll stay a mini-Winston Peters his whole life.
Red reps, they annoy me, I think they are for people who are too lazy to rebut comments in the forum, and I can't wait until I can see who is giving them to me so I may engage in tit-for-tat warfare.
But at the end of they day, you have to remember this is the internet and it's all a big game really. Sticks and stones...

I'm not upset, I really don't care about the rep, that means nothing to me 'cos I'm comfortable that I've:
1) made someone experience a little of what they dish out.
2) in no way shape or form gave away the secret's of the universe by spilling the result's of a lousy bike race.
If I've got a problem with what someone has said I'll discuss it out in the open and hopefully for the edification of the viewing public. That way both of us and the interested viewers have the chance to understand another persons point of view, motivation, experiences and maybe modify our own actions as a result.
Hence this thread, maybe after reading or contributing to this someone will change the way they respond in the future.....maybe I'll change the way I discuss things next time....maybe not........

I'd say that you should figure out your shit before posting. I have similar views to my parents on politics, yes. But mine are much deeper than theirs. I will go as far to say that no form of politics will ever work because that's how we are. If you read http://www.kiwibiker.co.nz/forums/showpost.php?p=786505&postcount=54 then you'll see my views exactly as they stand.
My friend's views however, are vastly different. To the point where they don't care, because they're 15-16 year olds and not interested.
And a mini Winston Peters? Pah, don't make me laugh. He's the scummiest bastard this country has in the beehive. Can't trust the man; one day he'll say one thing, and the next he'll say something completely contradictory to the previous statement. But, in saying that, most politicians are.

And Slowpoke. . .The reason I repped you was for the completely off hand comment of "but then I realised that you are just a stoopid country kid with a scar where his second head used to be." That's nothing to do with racism or any form of political incorrectness - it's just plain, pathetic, school yard bullying. And my comment was grow up and have a bit of maturity, wasn't it? Hmmm. . .

Nah, I really should apologise to hXc and k14.
There are virtually no rules, guidelines or caveats attached to the use of the smarties. How I choose to apply them (if at all) is quite different to how a lot of of other folks intend to use 'em. Unless you are colour blind there is no incorrect application.
I may disagree with WHY the rep has been applied but according to the applicant the criteria has been met so it's end of story, and I have no right to inhibit their use.
I'm just cranky on nightshift, and as someone quite rightly pointed out, I'm probably premenstrual.....that would explain the bloated feeling and my thickening ankles. I reckon the "painters will be in" tomorrow and I'll be right as rain next week and back to my svelte, sexy self.

Want to know how I deal with Red Rep? I shouldnt really tell you cause its not really for those that dont know what they are doing cause it canges every rep into a greenie
You need to go to your rep screen and hold the alt button and tap the F4 key once very quickly. What rep does is alter the php code to give you an ID-10-T error which gives you a red rep. This trick will render all ID-10-T errors null so that you can be content in yourself and believe everyone still loves you.
If you believe me, you deserve to fall for it.
