It's been an expensive 7 days:
New tyres, chain + brakes: $500 :scooter:
WOF + Rego: $250 <_<
Donations to the Helen Clark Popo fund: $570 :angry2: :eek5: :Police:
Licencing test: $80
Total: $1400
Any guesses at which one gets the least value for my money? I'm sure others are in similar predicaments. Shit when it rains it pours ay. I thought getting into this two wheels good, four wheels bad mindset would save me money, instead I end up working for free this month

was some of that $570 for no wof or rego? seems like a funny number for a speeding ticket. costs ya $630 for a loss of licence speeds.

Bugger on the rest, but sounds like you deserved to contribute to the Police fund.
Not a dig at you personally, I just enjoy reading about and laughing at people who get caught out by the cops doing something wrong and then winge about the tickets and inform us how cops are not doing their jobs. I like the idea of riding and not having anyone ride into the side of me. As well as knowing my insurance would pay out

It's a myth that bikes are cheaper. I just forked out $640 for 2 tyres for the track day. Could do the whole car for less than that.

yes. fuel per km is cheaper but then I never got in my car and drove it for 600km in a day for fun. I easy go through 4 rear tyres before needing to replace the 4 on the car. And that is without trackdays. Trackdays are just too expensive on the bike.

's why I didn't have it on. Tried explaining that theory - he wasn't buying it
I'm not proclaiming innocence or anything, however I'm a firm believer in penalties commensurate with the crime. On a road devoid of traffic (cept Mr PoPo) doin 70, not hooning about or driving wrecklessly does not warrent $570.
'sides slowing suddenly on a bend when leaned over is just not good roadcraft
