Hey everyone, just an introduction.

Name is Lloyd, from Dunedin for the last 5 years or so. Just bought myself a bike today as a bit fo a late birthday present to myself. MC14 CBR250, 21,000 on the clock, seems to move me along quite nicely. Going for my learners on Tuesday so hopefully that all works out and I'll be allowed to ride to work on something a bit quicker than my hack Subaru

Been into cars for a fair while, mainly the older Toyotas. Have a couple of KE20 4 doors, KE36 wagon and a Starlet getting a turbo 5K for those interested.

Anyone got some reasonable info on the MC14s? Even just weight, service stuff, any engine specs etc would be great

Cheers :)

Welcome HRT! The cage thing will pass, don't worry... It's a phase people go through before they realise REAL fun!

Congratulations and welcome to the next stage before nirvana. Not many make it, and are marked by wearing baseball caps backwards, sitting low in their seats just peering over the steering wheel, and wearing hoodies...

The pic with the bike on is at work, be nice if it was mine. Am allowed in there whenever I feel the need though. Kinda handy having all the tools and 4 hoists when you need them :) Boss lets us keep a car or 2 in there for projects, bloody good of him really.

Might be a while until I'm over the cage thing, while I love my bike I still have a soft spot for those old KE20s. Enjoying the best of both worlds for now. The car comes in handy when you need to go shopping and things like that ;)

Cheers JT, was the perfect time to buy really. Half the reason I did it, wanted something for summer. Just got back from going out to Mosgiel and over 3 Mile Hill. Good fun

And Bend-It, I'm not one of those people so dont worry

Seems I have an issue with spending any money I happen to have. That and wanting new toys far too often. Keepng the CBR, but bought this for something to cruise to work on and save the CBR for the weekend playing

Welcome to KB HRT, just had a look at your bike pic, nice bike......I suggest you remove the pillion rest for the moment as Learners License Riders ar'nt allowed pillions anyway. makes the bike look better too. Rock on.
