Where can i go to, or ask, or whatever to get myself clocked at whatever i can wring out of my VTR 1000? Im sure that the bike has been modified, as it is just a nutty beast compared to other VTR's i ridden. ??? Dyno will give me HP and sorts, but i wanna know my true ground speed. Maybe Merimeri drag strip? Any suggestions, besides the flying past some cop, or a speed camera that wont keep up?..:innocent:

I got a VTR 1000 and took it for a blat the other day. Cool ride, but ran out of throttle to use. Ive had a lot of bikes and personally for me, i love twins. The torque is fun to feel and have workin hard.

travel at 100 km according to the gps and compare with your speedo.

or do it the other way, travel at 100 according to speedo and see what GPS says.

if you r doing 200 hundy then the difference will be close to twice was it was at 100.

Im getting 110bph according to the spec, but im sure im getting a tad more, not much more but a tad more as im sure this thing was played with before i got it. The blackbird is putting out min 164bph

I just checked my revs to speed at 100km/h then an easy calculation showed that the 12,000rpm redline would see me doing 220km/h. Yet to actually confirm that but that's the theoretical top speed of my bike, anyway.

The only thing about my bike is the crap fuel consumption. 12L tank for a 1000 twin is too small. I going to look at getting a 19L. Im sure that the later models came out with 19L tanks. I only got 170km from a full tank. Either im given it heaps or the tank is too small.
