I've been thinking theres a few of us with rugrats.
Ive got a couple of peewee 50 trailees and a lil 50 quad.
Howabout we get together all us biker types with our families and let them see what it is we're addicted to.
Bit of a Barby.Kids on the bikes buzzing around. Maybee a bevvy or two for the adults er -bigger kids.

Why Christmas? I think people would appreciate it on a quiet day of the year.
I hate Christmas anyway, everyone's too stressed out/drunk/hungover/broke to enjoy themselves.

Think you will find its 5c now....:innocent:
And you have a point about the date thing....the closer to xmas it gets the harder it is for people to attend, other shit going on and so forth.
Neat idea tho', FROSTY has the odd one every now and then....

My place (http://www.smaps.co.nz/nz/rodney/kumeu/farrand+road/28/)? - I have 2 BBQs, live on a dead end/quiet road etc.
We have a trampoline, a bit of space, trees to climb, a creek for some eeling etc.
Aim for 9/12? BYO Beers and food (raw) I'm sure we can cook and put on a spread/have some fun.

Good question - stop by and take a looksee. We're on 1/3 acre and I don't want it carved up, but the roads quiet and reasonably safe

I think it's a fantastic idea but my kids are probably too young to ride a little bike yet. I was gonna bring them to Taupo on the 5th Nov to see all the bikes though - I take it spectator vieweing will be free?

Why not look at having it at one of the many MX tracks (or somewhere like the chicken farm) in Auckland that way the kids have somewhere safe and LEGAL to blat around on. I can make some enquiries if you wish.

All you need for that is Dover and Winja, and an unsuspecting goat!

woodhill forest family area, would be good. the only trouble is it costs, maybe they may do a deal for KBers.

Ok you lot --Im thinking I'd like to firm this up a bit.
Much as I like MDU's offer the point really is to have a bunch of bikes N kids having fun.
Now Im gonna have a word to the guys at a park near me--Its a big open field with enough rough stuff for the bigger -say 10 year olds -Its fully enclosed so the littlies cant get too far away.
Its also got a big car park for us to park in.
Could ANYONE with a kids bike/quad etc thats keen to be involved gimme a yell

Remember a park has public access there for it can be policed as a road, Unless you get a permit from the Council which they will ask you for a clean up deposit of $500 - $5000 and the moment you tell them that there are motorbikes involved you will find that your deposit will be closer to the $5000 end.
Someone with some farm land is the best idea, it may cost us $10 per head but thats a small price to pay for a hassel free fun day.

There is too much talk of permits, rules and regulations... it's all bull-shit, lets just meet halfway down Kariotahi beach in Waioku and let the kids run a muck, we'll sit back and have a few cold ones and a BBQ... maybe a drag race or two down the beach.
Simple fun and thats it.
