.. and did that work for all the boy racers when their cars sound a bit loud?
Nice police men and women have to enforce this stuff as you know.
Ask a Hardly owner how loud loud is! :Pokey:
I was at the Hurunui pub on my nice quiet DR250R just a few years ago (see pic) and the Harley boys arrived. On departure one showed me what loud is - it was just ridiculously deafening. That should be, and is against the law. Sorry no pic of the particular Harley in question, but they are out there.
Finally! Was just wondering on the weekend what your new toy was going to be.
I'm sure you'll have loads of fun on it. :)

it was off trade me - i bought it off charlie. nice guy too. he has really looked after it.
and i have NEVER written anyone up for a noisy exhaust. i'll even put up with a ported rotary. it is the MANNER that it is driven that is the issue. most of the after market HSV exhausts wouldn't pass the noise test (whatever that is...)

So is it still entertaining to ride after the RS? Notice the weight?

But who doesn't like the sound of a healthy V-2??
Have fun Marty.
3 things
1. can we have a rear view so we can see the plate
2. does it have ohlins shocks fitted or just the stickers.
3. what time do u go down Kaipaki road. :2guns: i will send gibb's to wait for ya
Yeah well I only like following the laws I agree with too - speed limits suck.
I'm not really into noise myself - wear earplugs you know.

hey how about that - you've got a pic of my bike! i've got the ownership details, but it doesn't have previous owners names. i presume that's 'grumpy' off here - isn't it amazing how things go around?

Welcome to the TL club dude!.
A couple of websites if you don't already now about them.
www.tlplanet.com
www.voy.com/14718/
These threads are both good sources of information about the awesome TL.
BTW, if your interested, I have photo copies of most of the TLS writeups from the top motorcycle magazines globally, if your interested in copies. Pic quality not flash but they make good reading.

Congrats on the new arrival Marty. She looks great - nice colour.
You can't beat that V-twin sound. Sometimes animals scatter when we ride past!

You can't beat that V-twin sound. Sometimes animals scatter when we ride past!Do dogs tend to bark at you when you're riding? Very few seem to be indifferent to my bike - they either bark, hide, or go absolutely nuts.
Dogs will carry on like that if you are on a push-bike even.

Dogs will carry on like that if you are on a push-bike even.Ours certainly used to. I reckon we would be safe with our watchdog only if the burglars were on bikes. :)
I have this theory that dogs sense summat that we can't see - maybe the scary black voodoo/mojo that keeps bikes upright...
Do dogs tend to bark at you when you're riding? Very few seem to be indifferent to my bike - they either bark, hide, or go absolutely nuts.
Most in cars that I'm following bark or get very excited. Ones on the side of the road usually at least look, if not bark.
I think, when I used to wear my floppy dog's ears on my helmet, that once or twice dogs in cars thought I was another dog. (I can see I've opened myself up to all sorts of comments with this!)
