I got to the Roxburgh "Bikes for Kids" rally without falling off or getting a ticket AND with dry feet despite the pissing rain and high winds.

And I got home likewise.

AND I'm still above ground. - though some would not think that good news :bleh:

I have checked absolutelly everything on my bike and I reckon I have everything sorted.

I will have nearly all my parts this week and hopefully have it all back together next weekend.

And Gini and I just found out she's pregnant. :D

Plus my bike is sweet with the fork upgrade, and it whistles into corners in a confidence inspiring way. The new tyres are mostly scrubbed, and I'm off to the Sth Island on the bike for a weekend soon.

I'm having a 4 day holiday end of this week so that's good news.

I went to Napier for the weekend just gone, returned down the Wairarapa and the cops were out attending to a crash - all I saw as I went by was one bike munted in a heap on the road - facing the wrong way for the lane it was in - forks not bent back or anything so I figure it never hit a car. Good news is it was only a Harley that got damaged. Just hope the rider was OK no matter what his/her taste in bikes is (no sign of anyone but the way the area was cordoned off didn't look good).

Yeah just a windup, and I was trying to turn it into a good news story though it probably wasn't - I actually appreciate all brands myself, just doesn't mean I'd buy one. It's more the biker I was concerned about and when I came by presume the ambo had already left. The police presence and the taped off lane of the road made it look like a fatal the attention they were giving it. This was North of Masterton about 3pm yesterday.

Hitcher then used it, and from there it started to spread.

it's very loud.
it's very blue.
my wife likes it even.
it's loud.
very loud.
it has seamless torquey stuff.
i ride it with a big grin past cars with open windows.
oh yes. it's loud.

also,

i've got a cool job.
i had an awesome flight yesterday. the mountains looked amazing.
i got a new computer game.
i've still got zero demerits.
i'm happy :)

and that's about it for now

The rider is a relation of a workmate of Re-cycled and me, and as at yesterday he was in a very bad way indeed.

Good news for me? There's four bikes in our gargre, we're both alive, both have jobs to put gas in the tank, and Daytona hot grips will soon be ordered for the M1000. Life could be far worse.

Wasn`t crashed mate,just parked up,they look that way straight from the factory.

Good news?I paid my mortgage off last Monday,now my home really is my home.More importantly I was nearly one Sister less last week,tough girl she`s alive,kicking and on the mend,I`m pretty hard-nosed but she had me losing sleep for a few days.

This weekend I'm not leaving the country so if I venture up North a bit (e.g. Desert Road ) it might be snow photos, who knows.

A Masterton man, 42, was yesterday airlifted to Wellington Hospital after sustaining serious head and chest injuries in a crash 3km south of the Mount Bruce summit on State Highway 2. The crash happened when the man, the rider of a Harley-Davidson motorcycle, rode into the rear of a Toyota Hi-Lux driven by a Wairarapa woman. The incident took place at around 1.45pm on Sunday afternoon. The injured motorcyclist was flown to Wellington Hospital by the Westpac rescue helicopter where he was immediately admitted to the intensive care unit. A spokesman for the hospital described his condition as “critically ill”. Sergeant Mike McRandle, of Masterton, said the collision is still under investigation by the force’s serious crash team.

Played with old triumph bits last night... Crank looks OK (50/50 in at the engineers today) but I should be able to rebore the barrels and the rods look useable.. YIPPEE! It was FUN!

I have a nice new plastic tool box for my electrical repair bits and bobs, liberating the old one for all the special engine tools like cam wheel pullers and stuff. Made the bench a lot tidier.. Cool!

I washed the Guzzi and will give it a polish tonight! I enjoy that! Might have a beer and listen to some shed music while I do it! (something to look forward to)

It's payday (for Vicki) and we have enough left to waste some on gas and entertainment... GREAT stuff! I won't spend TOO much time in the shed tonight... No KIDS, a loving partner and few morals means MUCH enjoyment....

The dog is feeling a LOT better so she is no longer on death row! (yippee) The vet was useless but the guy at the kennel was a saint.

Life is good!!!

Food in the cupboard, booze on the shelf, nice old bikes to fiddle with, a ton of you beaut music to entertain me, a house full of books I've only read once, a warm dry bed and a willing woman and we can't get pregnant.... What more could I want?????

Taking off from home this morning, on cold tyres, wet asphalt, accelerating in second, the FahrtSturm spun up and started to slide across the road.
But I didn't lowside/highside/fall off/crash/panic !
Twas a bit of an anticlimax, actually....
