Where is the best place to buy bike parts? Do you run the risk and buy off Tardme? Only go through bike shops or registered parts resellers? How about purchases from ebay or overseas? How accurate are you with parts numbers - do you only buy manufacturers parts for your bike?
I'm thinking there's a few places to purchases parts, accessories, blingage, etc... so where do you go to get your best buys? This is not just a question of money - it's also about delivery, quality, safety (returns money handling) all the things associated with buying bits for your bike.

One of the better places I have dealt with is PJ Parts (http://www.pjsparts.com/catalog/). Great service and fast. They stock Rizoma.....hmmm Rizoma :Punk:

I use Trademe and Ebay predominantly, especially for the exxy stuff. Our poor old rural postie has had some quite comical looks on his face as he hands me another odd shaped plain wrapped package from Kazahkstan.
I'm pretty careful about feedback ratings and the like to try and minimise the danger of being ripped off. Even so, comparing the prices to OEM through a dealer I can afford the odd deal to go pear shaped and I'm still miles in front.

The best place? No such animal. All have advantages/disadvantages. I've bought off Trademe(used and brand new items with no issues), OEM, aftermarket from various outlets and from overseas. I haven't needed to use ebay yet. Don't forget that old bloke who has collected bits over the years either...... Everything I've got has arrived in good condition apart from a externally damaged parts motor. I'll get that back in scap ali. There's also bike wreckers.
As for part numbers there are a few resources such a Parts fiches to get part numbers from. Google is yor freind.
