In the Midwest United States there is a popular theory that twisters are caused due to the fact that in the US, the law requires you to drive on the right hand side of the road. Apparently some "scientists" postulate that if they drove on the left, the winds caused by passing cars would cancel each other out etc etc (what a crock of shit).

Anyway, translate this to our capital and with all the running around by our erstwhile elected officials, I reckon it's because Labour is running anti-clockwise (left) and there are not enough people going clockwise (right) that's causing it. Of course the minor parties can affect the weather by siding with the Nats or Labour aqs their conscience permits, but the Maori patry doesn't help at all since they are never there when the vote goes down.

So vote for the right next election and maybe it'll get sunnier down there!!

In the Dominion Post tomorrow morning;
"Scientists have announced that Wellington's wild weather is due to the Labour Party, and have singled out Helen Clark as one of the main causes.

The scientists, sponsored by certain anonymous right wing political groups, theorise that left-leaning politicians can affect the rotation of winds.
Science-team Leader Krayy said his research was based on the most rigourous of studies.

"It's because Labour is running anti-clockwise (left) and there are not enough people going clockwise (right) that's causing it.
"Of course the minor parties can affect the weather by siding with the Nats or Labour as their conscience permits, but the Maori party doesn't help at all since they are never there when the vote goes down."

Professor Krayy did not mention what effect a right-leaning government could have on the weather, but Professor Steam of the National Institute of Water and Atmospheric Research (NIWA) said that a right-wing government could lead to climate catastrophe.
"If everyone is leaning right, the orbit of the earth will tilt and we'll all fall off."

Krayy admitted the findings were preliminary but was confident he would be vindicated if voters turned right on election day.
"This is my theory that is mine.....a-hem...my theory which is mine, by Krayy... aaaa-HEM" said Prof Krayy.

In tomorrow's news; Dominion Post reporters investigate whether hot air emissions from the National Party's whining contributes to global warming.

It blows in Wellington because Christchurch sucks.
That'll explain all the air pollution in winter and also why in Summer we suffer from Hay Fever in an attempt to sneeze all the air pollution away ... :first:
