Saw it on Nightline last night that Roger Waters is coming to NZ in January next year and will be performing the Dark Side (arguable the best album ever).

Story Here (http://www.tv3.co.nz/ShowsAZ/NewsandCurrentAffairs/Nightline/tabid/77/articleID/14743/Default.aspx)

So, is anyone else thinking about going?

If I'm able to get a ticket then I'll most probably ride up and it would be great to head along with some others.

Would love to go but I am sure the tickets will go in 3 seconds when they go on sale and I am sure it will be in doorkland so a poor SouthIslander will be severly disadventaged:Punk:

Saw Pink Floyd when they were here in the 80's, without Roger Waters. Best concert I've ever seen, including Iron Maiden! Don't know what he'd be like by himself but may be worth a look.

Wonder who his backing band will be? Its a pity about his voice - I've heard better singing emanating from our bathroom...

Did a little better than that in my youth. I managed to land a job with them for the "Wall" concert in Milton Keynes in the 80's. Paid well but I would have done it for nothing.

Coming here as well. Prices are pretty high for seating. I am going to see "The Pink Floyd Experience' when they come here. They are doing the whole of TDSOTM as well.

I got my ticket, i was after a cheap one cause i'm a poor bastard but all they had left were the $199+ or i sucked it up and handed over the ole Visa, it's gonna be freakin awesome.

A girl at work here saw him play in london a few months ago and said all she could do was cry?! she got some more tickets for this one so it must have been a happy cry

Yeah I thought so, I only mentioned because Mrs Kendog had mentioned she was in the same area that we were and I didn't think that would be the case at $120.00, and gee if it was I was going to feel a bit sorry for myself....

Kendog
3rd November 2006, 15:49
Well my receipt was $120 each ticket and in Blk6 which I took to be block B, but in looking at the seating map, I now have no fucking idea.
Either way, I really don't give a shit, we got tickets, only had to pay $120 each and won't have to fly anywhere to see it.:woohoo:
