Just a quick intro. I picked up a kiwi rider mag about 6 months ago and got the bug back. After a couple of months of surfing trademe and buyin motorcycle traders my other half got sick of it and suggested a trip to Mount Manganui to test ride a couple of bikes.
I already decided on a 900 Hornet (1st choice) or a 1400 boulevard and after checking them out took an 05' Black Hornet for a test ride from GP Honda.
She'd never been on a bike in her life, probably due to her dads dodgy leg which got mangled by a unlicenced cage driver when he was in his 20's.
Anyway, after 20 minutes on the Hornet I pulled over to see how she was finding it.
"Let's buy it" were the first words out of her mouth. She was buzzin and thought it was cool that other riders would wave as they went by.
I suggested a test ride on a cruiser but I got a scowl and a colourful description of what she thought cruiser pillions were viewed as.
Since then we've got a few good trips in and I'm looking forward to some summer riding and a Honda Riders development day at Taupo in November.
We can't get jet stream and I'm sure glad the Hornets not as slow to open up as the internet.
Haven't had to pay any speed tax yet and I unwrapped a pair of Draggin jeans on me 40th from hers truly.
Ain't life grand!

Nice one!
I feel hopelessly in love with a Hornet too:love: , while I still had my learners and had to rush through the licence process so I could get me one! Now the hubby and I both have one after he test rode one for me and decided that his CBR 600 had to be replaced!:bye:
Have a ton of fun, and welcome to KB.:sunny:

Thanks. Had a 1980 CB650 back when I was 16 and there's probably a bit to sentiment there but I love Honda's attention to detail.

Thanks I'll Check out the armour. I caught her drooling over a Suziki s40 Boulevard the other day. Apparently cruisers are OK as long as your not the pillion.

Welcome to the site - don't take any shit from the Gixxer owners - they are just not comfortable enough in their sexuality to be able to handle owning a Honda!

Thanks Bro.
To much information! Maybe you should ride in the front of the group!
Has Georgina B. got a bike? Should ask the Wairarapa members.

Your not wrong! Got home on Friday though and she showed me the latest Red Rider magazine. Say's I should buy her a CBF250 for Cristmas.
Think I'll get her a unregistered trail bike first, dirt biking skills have saved my ass on the road plenty.
