I've just scored myself a tidy, but left outside for ages '89 CR125. When i put it on my ute yesterday, i noticed the rear wheel is slowly falling apart... Does anybody have one? And the powervalve bits on the RHS of the cylinder are missing..
Also, I've got a YZ465 for sale if anyone is interested, in an original but left outside for even longer and beach ridden condition. Was supposedly running 5 months ago.

Last Thursday I picked up a 97 CR125 and by Friday morning I had it all serviced and was screaming up and down the local beach, much to the disgust to some who decided to tell me about it. I'm a tad frustrated here as there is no where for me to ride in my own time. The only track that I could go is closed on my time off and open when I'm at work as I'm a shift worker. Will look at you listing, sounds like an awesome bike, wanna trade for a 97 CR125? :mellow:

Yea I have a 1988 CR125 which is currently costing me a bit to get up and running again. It needed pretty much all the consumables (chain, sprocket, spark plug, wheel bearings etc etc).

Went into the workshop today and it was quite humorous to see what a horrible condition the rear wheel rim was in....

Quite a few people upgraded their bikes from 18" to 19" rear wheel so there are probably some wheels out there for you, also check ebay in the states. Postage might be a bit but it is cheaper than buying them here.
I might have to be getting one soon as well....

On another note I need a chain slider for my swingarm as the old one has deteriorated and the swingarm is starting to take a hit. Does anyone have an old one? I know they get munched but anything is better than what I have and I refuse to pay $109.70 +gst for an OEM one!

cant think of place in penrose i went to but they sell the same stuff they use on rally cars for mudflaps i used some of that on my swing arm on one of my cr250 s i had that stuff is tuff went through two chains and hardly had a wear mark in it $$ not to bad either theie in henderson rd off church st on the right hand side just as you go in to the street (that was 2 years a go but)

Have you tried Econo honda? They were helpful in getting me an OEM clutch cable for $32. 07 884 8810. As for Evo class, I had a PE400, but i just sold it. Haha, sorry guys the photo's will be a day late, because my Neighbour is working today, and I'll have to wait for him. :whocares:
I've got a gold 17" kwakka rim lying round, so I might get that laced up to my CR hub when the time comes..

I was thinking about riders mt the bikes. Had the old stuff in the past: PE400, air cooled RM etc etc. But the new stuff it both safer and more enjoyable to ride... :yes:

Haha, safer and more enjoyable?! hell yeah! My PE would leap forward on every power stroke, even with a shut throttle!! :dodge:

US Ebay is always a good source of NOS parts whatever the brand.

If folk think finding parts for 1980's Japanese MXer's is hard,try 1960's Husqvarna's...The US is the place,have even got enough spares to build a modern engine (1970 MH400)..Bottom end from California,topend from the East Coast,transmission from a Southern State.

Got thrown off the PE400 a couple of times. Picture this, a scrawny 17 year old trying to kick over a worked PE400. The kick back was a biarch and as we lived on the top of a hill, I learnt quickly that it was far easier just to roll out the driveway and roll start the PE. :yes:

She who must be obeyed might likely get upset a tad if I rushed out and brought another bike atm as my pocket money/bike fund is a tad low right now. Be an awesome bike to restore and ride in VMX. :rockon:

Thanks, Sweet as mate, I understand that, mum wont let me have anymore!! Definitely would make an excellent VMX weapon..
