Formerly known as the "Coca-Cola Christmas in the Park" :wari: :wari:
Join Qkchk and Qkkid for a bloody hilarious night  on the 9th December @ starting from 4pm down at the Auckland Domain. (The big grassy area below the Auckland Museum, silly...):dodge:
What is involved:
1. Good Company
2. Good Food BYO
3. Good Weather (preferably hot as this will go well with the main aim)
4. Good Music (Well, some celebrities can sing except for Dick Hubbard)
5. Good Price (The concert is FREE!)
Method: Combine all 5 ingredients in a bowl (The Domain) and spread the mixture out on a manicured lawn. Bake in the afternoon sun till the stars come out and then let the good times roll! (Really!)
Aim: The aim of this exercise is to, well..... have a damn good time. We will be heading down to the Domain approx 4ish, get a good seat (up to the top 1/4) and proceed to eat and get drunk (BYO). Beer is fine but wine works wonders ;) Nothing better than a good sing-a-long and a dance when you're drunk with 250,000 other farked people (well maybe not all of them will be ..... think of the kids ) We should know, we are both seasoned veterans!
A Wheelbarrow will be surplied..............:Punk:
1. For carrying the grog down and
2. For carrying the farked ones back home
NOTE: After last years debacle, it is important to arrive before the show starts, cause we couldnt find some of ya last year! 250,000 other people around makes it impossible! Cellphones dont work well either down there, the lines are far too congested........... as we found out... (Someone txt'd us at 7pm and we did get the txt till after we left - 11pm)
VERY IMPORTANT TO GET THERE EARLY THAN LATE. You wont be disappointed.............................

It seems that I will have to get SG back up the hill after the event :gob:
Maybe we can convert the wheelbarrow to a self-propelled device (a GSXR1000 engine should be sufficient.) Then we could get all the "none-sober" participants and any booze left over up to the cars easily.
All booze would be split up between the Quicks, Sixpack and I.:done:

Nope, you have always taken alcohol in. The ban is up around the museum, cause the young ones cause trouble up there. Us older ones in the bowl, with the wheelbarrow are exempt. :Punk:

Well Rhino and I did go to this event and were having a great time but the weather decided it wasn't going to play nice. Rhino and I bailed at half time cause we were freezing. The wind chill factor was amazing. I had a mild asthma attack on the way back to the car and could hardly breathe - never had one before but I think it was the result of a nasty chest infection this year. A nice hot bath when we got home (thankfully only to Mt Eden) brought my breathing under control again and I feel better now.
Thanks to the Qks for another great Piss-up in the Park. The tarp was a God-Send but sadly I didn't need the wheelbarrow.:dodge:
Good to meet some old and new faces!!

Will have to bring my thermos next time!! Rain, Thunderstorm and wind. The wind temp was so bloody cold :cold: even Qkkid was feeling it.......... (usually he would be running around in a teeshirt/shorts and I would be wrapped up in thermo gear freezing ;))
Got some piccys.............as we progressed thro the night. (And before the camera-lady had too many wines..) Its amazing what people can do with free samples of TOILET PAPER!!
We had a very good view of the fireworks - so good that 2 of us had hot debris fall on our head. :shit: We decided to pack up before the last song so we could get a jump on the crowds leaving......... and they let the fireworks off from the top of the hill as we were about to walk past....
The Symphony In The Park will be better - at least the weather should be more stable than last night!
Christmas in the Park is on TV3 tonight @ 7.30pm.
