Looking to head down 'that guys' driveway or possibly do a lap of the GP, those in the know will know what im talking about.

I'll have finished my exams so i'm lining up a blowout ride to get back into the groove before heading to Taupo for the trackday on the 24th... but in saying that I'm not going to be riding full pace (coz thats just silly innit!).

Meeting time will be around 9.30am to leave by 10am.

Medium - Fast riders welcome, probably not the best environment for learner riders to come along but will do my best to accomodate those that are interested.

This will be a longish ride, only stops will be to regroup at major turnoffs and for lunch at a pre-designated destination enroute if the route allows.

So who's keen and do you want do the driveway or the GP?

Why not do a combination or part of.
Here is my next ride once the weather clears.

Southside north..SH16..Wellsford..10 minute stop..SH16 south...drone south to the Bombay crossroads..SH22..coffee at Ngaruawahia..North again along the river to Glen Murray..SH1 and off at Te Kauwhata cutting across to SH25 and on to the Coro loop.. Lunch..on to Thames..SH25 and off at the Miranda turn off for the final leg round to Clevedon and home... all 4 popular rides in a day.

I'd skip 16 and do the rest.

160 odd km's of motorway aren't worth it for a duel with the pigs.

That should clock up all the K's you want on the 19th and kill the riding addiction for at least a day. :)

Thats always an idea...

Beyond, would be keen to do that ride but the amount of Highway riding to paeroa kills my buzz a bit... I had seen that post but i didnt notice it was on the 19th :dodge:

Perhaps if a group is keen to head down the driveway, then across to the waihi end of the loop and do it counter-clockwise that could work.

Might have to leave a bit earlier though so we could meet up with the other ride in Paeroa?

Prefer the GP.

However if you go down that guys driveway I'd like to volunteer as tail end charlie.

Never managed to learn that road.

With respect to all concerned and no offence intended. That ride sounds like a social event with many bikes, riders of different grades, long regroup stops and long lunches.

Not a blow out the cobwebs sort of ride.

Just that we live in a small world and are likely to run into each other.

So take it easy until then.
