It appears there is no study break, one week before my end of year university exams.

They cancelled it. or forgot, or something like that.

Either way ive just missed the last weeks lectures, out there rain or shine zooming around having some fun on my bike!

One week too exams, lots of missed lectures. ooops. This is going to be fun...

If your tutors mark on grammar and punctuation you are so sunk!

Meh, no worries there - I once remember one time at Uni, I thought I had an extra week of holidays. Turned up to town one day to get some stuff from my locker and wondered why the hell there were so many students around ... then it dawned!

Best way to skip lectures through blissful stupidity and ignorance! Didn't even affect anything one iota :sunny:

Not that it helps ya, but at least ya had the time to zoom around!:scooter:

I was going to say something incredibly intelligent like... "WTF.. as long as you had fun out on your bike... :Punk: "

but then I remembered what I'm in store for over the next 5 years...

Lectures are for pussies. If you have to go to lectures and study hard just to scrape past passing, the course is probably too much for you anyway...

I'm doing my degree extramurally, so got to schedule myself two weeks of study time (read, pissing about time), before my exams. First one today. Good luck with yours Disco Dan.

I don't know which classes you take, but some of them sure as hell require a bit of effort here and there.

i think most people in uni have done something silly like that. I know i did more than once - even stuffed up the first day. And i used to deliberately take holidays overseas for longer than midsemester break. did get a flight held up once which meant i arrived in aucks on the morning of a big test.

But hey, don't forget the awesome power that is cramming, read the book, do the test, then promptly forget it all in time for the next cramming session. (of course only works for some subjects)

Good to hear that you had fun on your bike. Put in the effort studying now and you should be able to make it up.

Most of my lectures I could of got away with but the effort required to study the material is more than sitting down and staring for 12 hours a week. Seriously, it is easier to understand the material passively with someone explaining it than actively trying to understand the scarce bullet pointed lecture notes.

For some of my lectures this year the lecturers didn't post any notes and didn't follow the course book (which was a complete waste of money).

I'm lucky tho Computer Science is a crammers dream, theres crap all material to learn you just have to understand the mechanisms and how they work which I find intuitive.
