Just wondering what you guys think of Olivier Jacque? The name rings a bell, and from reading the GP site, it seems he is okay though maybe a bit past it/slow.
I'm also interested to read that they think Randy de Puniet showed his potential on a number of occasions. I'd like to ask "When?"
Anyway, given that I have this primal urge to support Kawasaki, how do you think they'll do next year? To be honest, I'm glad for their sake the bikes are changing to 800cc. If they remained at 990cc I think they'd have a very tough year.

p.s Is Gibernau even riding next year? What a downward spiral...

Jacques is orright for an old bugger, but I think they'd have been better off with Nakano....

my errr.... "primal urge" didn't seem to help that much this year :( If your "primal urge" is better than mine... then you are most welcome to come over and support team green :sunny:
If Kawasaki would just hurry up and port something, anything across to road, because of gp's shift to 800... then I would be a very happy bunny...
blubbernau can piss off for all I care... don't think much of him at all

Jacque has since been working as Kawasaki's test pilot since his performance last year. He can be fast on his day (oh can't they all, then again if this years' anything to go by that's all you need to be world champ). Better yet he's got a wealth of experience which he can pass on to his young compatriot.
You'll find that the team is very much France/Kawasaki. And has financial incentives for having French riders. Would like to see them up there.
Still think Stoner on the second Duc was the stupidest choice any team has made. They should have given the ride to Dovizioso. A young up and coming Italian rider who Caparossi could have mentored so when he does eventually retire there's a competitive rider to take his place (allowing them to bring in the next up and comer).
Blah, bring on next season...

Think Kawasaki will be hoping for rain next year.
No the stupidest move/signing is Carlos Checa to LCR. Checcinello got that bike, as Honda wanted to hang onto Casey Stoner, as he was being chased by Yamaha last season. Stoner was being lined up for the Sito Pons team which promptly fell over, LCR managed to put together a team and kept Stoner in MotoGP, now Casey has left and joined Ducati, good luck to him, but why/how does LCR get a bike for next year? If Dovioso was going to move up, this would be an ideal team. Maybe they are just going to run for a year and wait for 2008. But Checa? Come on, I'd like to see James Toseland on that bike!! :done:

Jacque gave Kawasaki a second in China in his first race for them (very wet race).
I think he's the best rider they can get with the results they've had. Nakano wants to win (as they all do) and has shown other teams his ability - he was going to move up sooner or later.
Randy looks more like Alex did... lost on the bike at that level.
It's hard to be a Kawasaki fan... :(

Jacque only beat Nakano to win the 250 world championship a few years ago when they were team mates. I think it was 2000.
Came down to the last race and who beat who won the championship.
So you could argue he was a better chice over Nakano 3 years ago....

Well, you could, but then they both moved up to the MotoGP class on a 500, and Nakano performed better.

Nice looking bike, though!
