Just sit tight, it will arrive. Now would be a good time to seek advise on your rights (or lack of), procedures etc.
What?

It took 9 months for mine to arrive - and I understand the system is more congested now than it was 25 years ago, so don't hold your breath.

Not if what I've seen is true... apparently if you don't call the cops and say that you want to take it to court they'll just automatically assume you're pleading guilty and charge you as such.
I wouldn't wait for it, call the courts / cops and find out.
What?

and post the results - that is the opposite of what was when i got did; No response = summons, No show in court = guilty.

It's pretty common for people to get their lisence back after 28 days, then loose it in court again when they get a summons a month or two later.
You don't have to do nothing, trust me. It just takes a long time for the court system to process things.

About 6 months ago I got a similar ticket. 166km in a hundred zone.
After the 28 days mandatory, I rang them, got my licence back and about 4 weeks after that I received the summons.
In order to save on court costs I just sent a letter........ begging for some leniency. I admitted I was at fault for speeding, but then ask them to consider that removing my licence again, on top of the 28 days would cost me my job. My problem, but how would I pay the fine they were going to give me, or my child support, or....... sob, sob, sob.
Anyway, I was happy (ish) to only receive a fine of $850 + $30 court costs and got to keep my licence. As soon as the good? news arrived, I rang the number on the paper, pleaded poverty to the nice lady on the phone ( despite the fact I can afford a car, and bike and the gas to speed like a dickhead) and made arrangements to pay it off $20 a fortnight until the end of time.
I'm sure the court costs are greater if you turn up in person, but the outcome will be the same.
My advice, admit to the speeding, then cry/grovel/beg and hope for the best.

thankyou so much for everyone who took the time to write and let me know about there information, it has been very helpfull. i dont mind the 28 days and massive fine, fair is fair, but 6 months aswell i dont find fair specially when thats what a drunk driver would get and i consider that far more dangerous than my quick squirt down a deserted rural road. anyhow keep the info coming.
p.s. i thought extra loss of licence when summoned was mainly if the ticket had dangerous driving, careless driving e.t.c on it,,,mine doesnt, it only says exceeded 100kph. will this make a differance???

Anything 40kmph and above the speed limit is instant careless/dangerous...can't remember which it's been a while since I got a decent ticket haha.

im not so sure cause in some older threads about lost licences it has to be charged and ticketed with dangerous driving for it to count, there is a differance in exceeding the limit and actual careless use of a motorbike

if your ticket says 'exceeding 100km/h' then that is all it is - not dangerous, so no mandatory disqualification anyway, just a max fine of $1000. careless doesn't carry mandatory disqual either, just a fine $3k i think

mandatory suspension cause it was more than 40km over but the written charge was exceeded 100km,,with the 160 down in a little box in the corner

That's suspension, a cop inflicted punishment. Then you go to court and get a court inflicted punishment.
Don't you love our brave new world?

Careless - max $3000.00 / Disqualification at courts discretion (although you have to be pretty bad to get disqualified for Careless.
If you only got charged with Exceeding 100km/hr, you should walk away with a fine and your licence intact.

There is a difference too for readers to note.... there is dangerous driving as in - dangerous manner of riding and there is dangerous speed just in itself - both which you will get a summons for, or the third is just the speeding ticket if the circumstances do not warrant a charge of 'dangerous'... and I have never had a ticket in my life and don't intend to either :)

As long as the cops don't hang me for it. But hopefully he'll get his 'stretch' in prison.
