TR50 Street Magics

I've been looking into registering a pit bike for road use for a while, putting street tyres/lights/etc on and just register as a moped...but I've thought differently after seeing TR50's.

I know a couple of you guys own them, and I have a few questions...

What is a fair price for these?

Are they very strong standard...e.g. will they handle a fair bit of abuse including the occasional small jump without upgrade suspension etc?

Are they well balanced for wheelies/stoppies?

What size tyre do they run, and does anyone know if you can get a 50/50 street/dirt tyre for them as I would want to be able to ride it in paddocks and shit without slipping around on street tyres?

I think thats all for know, thoughts please.

Street magics are pretty sweet. I have had a TR110 for a while and my gf has a TR50. Awesome little bikes.

They are amazingly well balanced little bikes. They are sweet for stoppies and wheelies and are very nimble on the road. They run 12" wheels with either 120 or 130s on them.

I dont really know how well they would do offroad, I have jumped mine over quite a few speed bumps but I dont know about dirt jumps. You could ring around some tyre shops for the tyres.

They all have a CVT which you can get quite a few different rollers for either high speed or acceleration. Makes a big difference as well, the TR50 is quicker off the line than my 110 (but it wont do 100km/h :) )

If you are looking try to find one just on or under 10000km with a reasonably good condition CVT (no slipping badly). Look to pay between $1700 and $2200 for a 50 and $2500 - $3000+ for a good condition 110.

Jumping it dirt isn't a biggie...

It's more a case of wanting to practice wheelies in paddocks and that's not great on street tyres...:rockon:

THE BLADE IS CRAP , GET A GSXR 750 YEAR FOR YEAR FROM 96 AND ITS ALWAYS A BETTER BIKE

WHAT IS SWITCH BACK

Backwards...it's not easy working throttle/brake with the opposite hands but it sure makes for impressive photos.
