The GSXR has done 39,000 very hard km's, thanks to the old owner.
In a previous thread I noted that there was a vibe at 200kmh. The rotors were worn and had a fair bit of radial movement, so decided to replace them at this stage, figuring this may be contributing to the vibe. Whilst I had the wheel off I figured I may as well replace the front breaings.
The existing bearings, when in the wheel felt fine, but on pulling them for replacement you can feel a fair bit of lateral movement in the bearing.
Now that they have been replaced the front feels a whole lot better. More stable and a little quicker and easier to turn.

You tend to ride around the imperfections in your bike as it ages, but many things wear and taken together contribute to degradation of performance. You don't realise until you get into it (doing your bike up) the benefits you can gain, and often quite cheaply (about $50.00 for the front bearings and seals) .
