I'll be comin along with Velox.

Last time we went to Cafe India in town with about 30 people, we talked to them beforehand and organised it so they'd charge us $30 per person, and we just got whatever food and drinks we wanted. Daawat usually lets one of us eat and drink free for every 8 people in our group we take there too, so it might be worth a shot to see if Little India can do us a deal since we'll have so many people.

Ive just spoken to Raj at LI. They do a banquet deal for two people, $26 each for mixed platter, Murg Mumtaz, Lamb Madras or Beef Vindaloo, Malai Kofta, Basmati Rice, Tea or Coffee and Ice Cream - Roughly works out to be about $65.00 worth.

Alternatively they can just give you and/or your partner a name or number at the table and you just tell them the number when you go to pay...seems pretty simple this way and you get a choice of orders and quantity.

BTW - I have to deal with these people in my job so I don't want any greasy bikers embarrassing me.....please remember this if your head starts to cave in from too many Kingfishers..... :niceone:

No problems there - just no loud indian jokes, no burning napkins, no food throwing etc. No getting your 'equipment out'.

Think "Ned Flanders" and you'll have an idea.

A couple of other bike guys from Thursday nights (Hutt carpark) might come out for dinner too. Might just have to see how much room is in the restaurant!

Yeah if you can just get them to resurface the track a few degrees on the inside you’ll have your knee down!

Still a knee down virgin, but I have already apexed the corner and am hurtling out at a great rate of knots....... :not:

I need to sort a set of knee sliders before I try too hard at getting the knee down. I shuffle my ass over a bit and was trying to get off the seat more at the track day, but it feels pretty weird to start with. Much more practice required.....need more track days.

Tall bike doesn't help either. Getting your knee down doesn’t inherently make you any faster, makes some people ragged trying too hard & measure the success of the corner by if they’ve skimmed their knee. Main thing to being comfortable on the track is to be looking far enough ahead. This tends to make you lean further.

Lastly I noticed I couldn’t get my knee down in my road leathers. Don’t notice on the street as I’m not hanging off so much, but 1 piece race leathers don’t have a belt section so allow more freedom.

Jimbo: another one to add to the list please: a mate of ours, Bruce, who has a 955i Daytona. He's promised not to get his "equipment" out.

PS: he currently has a broken arm but did it on his mountain bike, not his motorcycle!

Should be mate.

I Told the curry dudes that there will be 35 coming and that's it. However I'm sure that they'll free up another couple of tables.

As for paying, the general preference is to pay per couple. Unless of course you are flying solo, then it's pay for it yourself. Let the waiter know who you are with at the time.

Looking to be a good night all.

Anyone got a spare seat for this curry gig 2moro night? I'm in Churton Park but can be where I need to be to pick up a lift... work at the Thorndon end of town if that helps. I'll deal with the getting home issue when the time comes.
