my good bastard award this week goes to the guy in a blue holden wagon who made the effort to actually do a U turn and come back down the road to check i hadnt run out of petrol. I wuz parked on the side of the road, helmet off talkin on a wanker phone. He identified himself as a biker.

It was on SH30 between vegas and whakatane, at the vegas end. If this was you or you know him pls pass on my thanks.

Good to see the lads lookin after each other.

Thats all good stuff. On the other hand, my "Stupid Bastard Award" goes to the guy on the Ducati who last night at about 10pm went for the world high speed lane-splitting record on SH2 between Welly and Petone. Typically he was an impatient prat out to impress (or scare shitless) his bird perched on the back. Both were wearing jeans, trainers and loose flappy jackets.
Sorry, but I wouldn't have stopped to clear up the mess. Biker or no biker.

High speed and reckless lanesplitting results in more than just road rash... I wouldn't like to bin it IN TRAFFIC!
