Could someone please explain the differences between the various models of Kr 150 bikes?

Krr-150s seem to warrant premium in terms of price and from what I was able to find there is the krr-ssr and kr-zx models. Finding information on the difference between those was rather fruitless.

Also, what's the ballpark (average) prices I should expect to pick one up in decent cosmetic and mechanical nick?

Cheers.

I just sold my KRR150ZX with a small amount of damage. It went for around $2500.

A mint one would go for about $3000

There are the KR150'F' around that are still a great looking bike with the same engine as the KRR150ZX. In fact there is one for sale in the online trading section....

Good luck finding one!!

Gidday,

Kawasaki New Zealand officially imported four models, although one was for evaluation purposes only (KR 150 E2)

The official imports were(Chronologically)

KR 150 E2 Two units only imported for evaluation (Quite a few private imports floating around) More commonally known as "KRR 150"

KR 150 A4 First official import has wire wheels & rather hideous "vomit" graphics. More commonally known as a "Ninja 150 R"

KR 150 FD The little racer !!! Easily distingushed by it's proper expansion chamber type race pipe with a high mounted "stinger" muffler, they also had a steering damper fitted as original equipment
There getting a bit thin on the ground these days as they were predominantly used as race bikes - an absolute hoot to ride if you can find a good one...Very basically a hotted up version of the KR 150 E2
More commnally known as a "150 Cyclone"

KR 150 K3 Last in the line & again easily distingushed by there single colour paint schemes, either green or silver... Again there are heaps of earlier "K" model private imports floating around, these are in a myriad of different colours with graphics galore all over them !!!

Easiest thing to do is make a note of the chassis number (not the riveted on V.I.N tag) & pop along to any Kawasaki dealer, they will be able to tell whether it's a official or private import bike - doesn't relly make much difference as parts supply is not an issue once the model has been properly identified.

You'd expect to pay anything up to $2700 for a tidy, late model, low k bike...

They are a heap of fun to ride & you'll be amazed at what you can keep honest on a well ridden one (a Frosty !!!)

Cheers

Woot! Exactly the information I was after. Thank you kindly.

Subsequently, you wouldn't know what the model kr150se entailed over kr150f?
