Heard a hardcase story last night while having a couple of beers.Couple of my mates were having a beer after work on saturday arvo at a Glenfield Watering hole, when a guy on a bike rides up and parks in a Disabled car park..on stopping his bike the patrons drinking outside suggested that both his legs seemed to be working fine and he should park elsewhere, but they got a finger for there troubles.Whilst the guy was away the clamp man came passed by and clamped his bike :shit: .On return to his bike he was not a happy chappy and was directed to pay his $125.00 and got a typical ribbing from some patrons which ended up with the guy taking off his leather jacket and wanting to take on the whole pub, then he called an older woman a wrinkley old c...t:gob: :jerry: ,which changed the mood, but the situation was diffused with a bit of common sense being imparted on the guy:mellow: .He then got on his bike and rode off:scooter: with a finger for everyone.my mate reckons he could of at least done a burnout or something to finnish of an entertaining afternoon drink.

The guy was plainly suffering from a disability. He should head down to the A.A. and get a disability sticker for his helmet.

sounds like he was just embarressed and used 'aggression' to try and get himself out of the situation!
Shouldnt have been parked there in the first place, would have parked on the footpath instead.. ..at least then if/when the people outside drinking protested he could have just rode off after giving them a good close up revving from his pipes!! :dodge: :dodge:
hate it when cages park in disabled spaces, i almost always leave a note on their windscreen!!!

There seems to be an abundance of mentally disabled kiwis about. Unfortunately they are not able to consider the plight of those who require a disabled park to be able to open their car door enough to exit the vehicle, let alone be able to get any wheelchair out/down.
Well done to all involved at the pub!

wanting to take on the whole pub
You should have obliged him, the entire pub should have just stomped him.

Can never believe the excuses they come up when confronted.........

I guess ive been lucky no one has touched mine (probably too heavy)
Anyway, serves the guy right he shouldnt have parked in a disabled park, after all its not hard to find a space to park a bike and if he was a litrtle more thoughtfull i am sure someone may have kept an eye on it on the footpath for ten

Brake fluid would be better, or big bolts, or smashed spark plug ceramic...... throw that at their windows and they will smash

It sounds like the rider was a tosser.
However looks can be deceiving. Before you verbally attack someone for not "looking" disabled enough, please read this story (http://www.nzherald.co.nz/topic/story.cfm?c_id=176&ObjectID=10345992).

Reminds me of the Dick Head doing a Burn out on the burn out pad at Cold Kiwi many years ago. He revved his Harley so long and hard, instead of the tyre going "BANG", his motor went "BANG" - and when the huge crowd laughed and took the piss, he wanted to take them ALL on!!

My Virago weighs some 270 odd kilos man (guessing), it ain't light. (haha spell check has 'ain't' in it take that Hitcher)

Didn't know who pushed my bike over and didn't want to damage an innocents car. The ones parking in bike parks however are fair game if someone wants to damage my bike while in a cage park. Only ones that get real damage though are boy racers.

how disabled can a biker be? ive seen a guy in a wheelchair on his sidecar overseas...yep, hes disabled. and ive also seen another guy with a prostheic leg....hes disabled too. but both had physical, and very obvious, disablity. im guessing the guy in question didnt.
im also willing to bet, both the men i mentioned would use a normal park too.

I fully agree - it sounds like the rider in this story wasn't disabled. I was just posting in the general sense.
Does Tawera Nikau still ride?

I had a go at this woman who was parked in a disabled spot once. I said she didn't seem to have a disabled permit and she told me to fuck off. I turned around and said "I'm sorry, but being a fat, ugly idiot may be classed as a disability in some cultures, but it still doesn't entitle you to park in a disabled spot!" A parking warden came along so she moved, but if you could have seen her face!

Well, not in my pockets. Personally I cable tie them to a frame member. They're quite big and heavy.

The people that annoy me the most(When no sticker/card can be seen) are the ones that,I say this is for disabled and they say "I cant understand" then smile at me stupidly and i say "how did you get your liscense" and they keep fuckin smiling at me nodding there little head.then i walk away before i turn into a clamped bike owner :)

I know one in the South Island.....uses bungees to hold his legs on the bike pegs and has a collapsible wheelchair he carries in the sidecar. He considers himself more glad to be able to ride still, rather than disabled.
